Find me an example of something that doesn’t work. If anything it all works bette than watchOS 6No one should install this if you have plans on going back in case something doesn’t work. No way to roll back. Once you’re on this beta train, you’re on it to the official release. I’m surprised after seeing this being available on all the tech sites that not one of them that I’ve seen have mentioned there’s no going back. Just detailed and simple instructions on how to do it.
for shame
Me too.....Anyone else stuck approximately 10% into "Preparing..."?

The betas for watchOS 7 have been great apart from minor graphical bugs. Had it since beta 1 and no issues at all. Can’t see why anyone would want to roll back to 6, I guess Apple don’t either since it’s now public.
yea I am not touching this one , nope,nope![]()
No. If something goes wrong, you will need to send off to Apple. Is there anyway to downgrade or restore if something goes wrong?
Remember: There is no way to downgrade an Apple Watch back to watchOS 6, even in the public beta.
In the public beta notes "Please note Apple Watch cannot be restored to previously-released OS versions once the public beta is installed."
This is the same as the developer beta 4.
The Sleep app works well. The haptic feedback was very strong in beta 2, and Apple changed it to be weak starting in beta 3. I filed a report and it shows as processing.watchOS 7 successfully installed on my series 5. Looking forward to using/testing the sleep functionality.
Oh I’m with ya there! Same with iOS 14. Better than anything iOS 13 has had. I’m just saying some people might not know and might assume they can roll back just like you can in iOS. FWIW I’ve had no issues at all on watchOS 7 other than the expected battery drain. Been better on the last beta, though.
Are you using a series 3? If so, the release notes for WatchOS 7 DB state that unpairing and re-paring may be needed for series 3 users. I didn’t have that problem for the first 3 betas but got that message for beta 4.Software update says the download is 990 MB, but when I try to install it, I get an error message saying I have to have 3.4 GB of space free… when my Watch only has 4.7 GB in the first place.
Deleting third-party apps and photos would maybe get me to 2.5 GB free, so if I want to install this beta, I have to unpair and re-pair.
Yeah, nah. Skip.
yeah but beta stability isn't always linear. i've had a lot more issues with iOS 14 pb4 than 3.
so even if THIS watch os build is stable, there's always the potential for a bricking to happen in a future release.
That’s what makes the summer so “exciting”.
I uninstalled all my third party apps and restarted my watch and phone, then it chose to download. Are you using a series 3? It took me two tries to get DB 4 installed. I had to wipe my series 3 and setup as new before I could install DB 4.I uninstalled all my third party apps and restarted my watch and phone, then it chose to download.
The first time it got stuck on "Preparing Update" so I deleted the update and tried again. If this time fails, I'll wait for the next beta.
I've never had this much trouble installing a watch update.
NOTE: I'm using a Series 3.
Stuff like this has me worried for doing this each week with a new update, but I'm up for the challenge! It took me two tries to get DB 4 installed. I had to wipe my series 3 and setup as new before I could install DB 4.
