I wouldn't install a public beta on a watch. No going back.

I wish their was a way to keep the face of my watch on in nightstand mode so I can roll over and see what time it is. I have one of those little charging stands you put the puck in and the watch goes to a nice green hue time display and then shuts off.

It probably all ready does it somehow, and I'm just too dumb to figure it out.....

I took the plunge yesterday. So far no issues at all. Honestly I really can't tell the difference, except my anecdotal observation is that the battery life is a little diminished, but not awful. I was excited about the sleep app., however I get more data from the SleepWatch app. I don't know why this isn't just another 6.something. In summary...very underwhelming.

WatchOS 7 has been a massive improvement in regards to speed and responsiveness. No longer does Siri take like thirty seconds to process a request, she just does it practically immediately. No more delay in the watch transcribing speech to text either, just immediate response.

Sounds promising, I'll wait for the official release, though.

I installed the PB on my series 5 LTE last night. Battery drain overnight using sleep tracking was 13%. Haptic feedback with the sleep alarm is still weak compared to an earlier build, even though “Prominent” for haptic strength is chosen. I haven’t experienced any reboots or resprings thus far. Battery life (overall thus far) is on par with what i was seeing with 6.2.8.

Carrot Weather properly displays the complication options.

MyRadar complication does not show the temperature but tapping on the complication shows the correct information.

The hand washing feature works albeit the hand washing reminder toggle does not stay on. Once turned on, it reverts to the off position once you leave or minimize Settings. I filed a bug report last night.

Battery health shows 95%. The watch was purchased new 11/19.

gave it one more go, took a day to download but an hour or two ago it was down to '20 mins to go' woo hoo!

then it got to zero, then it changed to preparing.... its been preparing for an hour...

Yep, this one of the more annoying things about the watch. There’s enough people that Apple has to be aware (I’ve submitted multiple bug reports over the years myself) and Apple is essentially saying “we’re ok with messages not working as advertised”.

interestingly after I switched from T Mobile to Verizon, my WiFi only series 4 watch has been syncing SMS and MMS messages fine. Previously SMS would remain unread even if I read it on all of my other devices.

Don’t know why a carrier swap would impact a non-cellular Watch, but here we are...
