There is a fatal bug in the iOS 15 Find My app. When resetting a device using iOS 15 or when setting up a new iOS 14 device using an Apple ID that is signed into an iOS 15 device, the Find My app becomes unresponsive for ALL devices regardless if they are beta devices or not. Find My displays an error upon opening that says “Find my unavailable. Unable to connect to server. Please try again later.” This propagates across all devices using the same Apple ID. There is no way around it. New beta updates are not addressing it. It is an issue that needs to be addressed on Apples end. There is a thread on the developer forum that has over 600 views on this bug. I would HIGHLY recommend putting this into a news article to help other issues avoid bricking their Find My app. We also need to make every effort to get Apple’s attention on this issue.

Given that this is a fairly minor update to the whole iOS I could not resist and installed on my primary device (iPhone 12 pro max) and so far, so good - running like a champ. Figured there are no huge, huge changes or features from iOS 14 to 15 (that I know of) that scared me so taking the plunge wasn't that tough.

I am not kidding or trying to be sarcastic when I say this - it literally feels significantly snappier. Could be placebo effect but it feels really fast. So far, every app I have tried works. It is getting a bit warm but figure that is from it indexing, etc. so I will probably have to wait a day or two to really see how the battery life is.

Finally! Gonna install it on my iPad Pro. I'm planning on buying the new iPad Pro (since my 2018 has gotten cracks in the screen), so I might as well try it out on my current one.

Been running the Beta on my iPad, and its been fine ( for the most part.. usually the mail app will freeze when selecting multiple emails for deletion )

Probably install this on my backup device ( 2nd Gen SE ) for kicks..

This new Safari … boy, it’ll take time to get use to.
I’m surprised there aren’t more of these comments! I’ve been running the developer beta since it was released, and I’m still trying to learn to accept it. Sure the address bar is lower, but so many compromises…

Are you able to customise a toolbar?

Running fine so far on iPhone 12. I really like the new weather app and the new safari tab and bar navigation. Those are among the apps I use daily the most and it adds a lot of "quality of life".

I‘ve never had an issue with an iPhone public beta. I had an issue with the first iPadOS beta and ended up downgrading. But since then all my iPad betas have been fine. I would never do a developer beta but public betas have been pretty solid for me.

A few of my widgets don’t work, like the Apple TV one i can’t click on anything
anyone else had this problem?

Frankly, I never thought that Safari needed to change at all. I guess the lower address bar is most useful for people with the Max iPhone’s. I’m just so accustomed to reaching over to the top address bar on my 11 Pro that it wasn’t a struggle or a source of annoyance lol.

Agreed. And I’m not complaining about the search bar being lower, it’s actually the best part of the update. But the flip side of that bar being lower is the animation where it repeatedly bounces from the top to the bottom of the screen when accessed. I’m amazed this safari update got approved. Oh well, it’ll probably go back to the way it was in 4 or more years.

OK, so Safari will take some getting used to .... :)

But, all in all, I'm a bit surprised. Installed PB1 on my 12, and so far (couple of hours) it's been pretty much "invisible" -- in that I have not really noticed much difference from 14.6 (which, I think, is a good thing!!). I have not played much with "new" features other than looking at the Weather app (very nice) and Safari but, all in all, it seems very stable.

In case anyone is interested ... Navy Federal CU app works perfectly!!

Pretty revolutionary update. Thanks Apple, now when can we have useful "up-next" widgets? Or a widget clock that starts in MY phone zone, not in Cuoertino?, Or long press in phone app to call a favorite contact?. Please, copy from Android some Smart things. I see no point in updating to ios15 if ios14 wil Keep getting security updates.

Delete the 14 profile. Restart. Go to beta site. Download 15 profile. Install. Restart. Check for updates. Install 15. Voila!
Done all this. Downloaded the profile and the mobileconfig file is in the downloads folder, but Settings never sees it.

FWIW: I installed the Safari Technology Preview on my MacBook in Big Sur, and I’m getting to like it more as I use it. I didn’t like Safari before the update (in fact I used Firefox), but I think I might stick with this. I like the idea of the greater security with Safari.

Anybody tried the new Wallet app (adding corporate badges / passes). How does it work?

Installed it (from PB2) on my ipp 11’ 2018; seems to run fine. To me, iCloud Relay is a significant and welcome change. New Safari is interesting; think I need to get used to the changes a bit more first to appreciate them.
