A lot could be improved!

Yeah, photo stream could be way better than what it is now... It sucks not being able to delete photos, only being able to chose which photos you upload in iPhoto and not in iOS, sometimes you turn it off on the iPhone and it stays there empty instead of going away...

I also wish I could hide it in iOS, but keeping it on, instead of deleting everything every time I turn it off in my phone so people who I hand my phone to will not see photos that are private...

I hope they improve it with time so it becomes something really useful. It has a lot of potential.

:apple:

Now, how about better 'Notes' syncing between devices. Particularly old, pre-iOS 5 notes? Just a small thing...

There is a workaround, at least for Lion users. Enable iCloud (and be sure to enable Notes) then run Mail. Drag and drop notes from old mail box into iCloud's Notes folder.

You should see all your notes in iOS 5 device now (you may need to manually delete notes from old Notes account to discard duplicates).

Now, what about having multiple photo stream accounts in iPhoto, apple TV, or even the iPad?

I'm sure this has been a much demanded feature..i'm surprised it wasn't included in the first version!!
anyone remembers copy/paste feature? Maybe it's the same reason ;)

I haven't been using photo stream at all, only because of not being able to delete the pics I wanted. Looking fwd to have this feature with this update.

...and definitely THIS:
nothing like worrying if those sex pictures you took with your gf will end up on the family's appletv photostream

this is great!

It would also be nice if you could switch on/off the ability to stream photos.
For example, If I am going to take pictures of things that I don't need/want to be streamed, I would like to be able to turn it off (from the camera app) and then activate the streaming when finished (just like the flash setting).

Also, I wish there was an option from "Photos" to publish to Facebook, just like you can for twitter. I have a twitter account by I don't use it.

Photostream should sync grabbed videos from my iphone to my mac. dont understand why they left this out..makes no sense...

I tried OTA from B1 to B2 and got an error message when it tried to check for an update, so it didn't work for me. That's not to say that it's not just me. Either way, I'm doing it the old fashioned way at this point.

Likewise. Attempt to check for OTA updates since installing beta 1 have failed every time. Will have to use the old-fashioned way.

Still just gonna stick with my PhotoSync App which allows me more control of my pictures & videos.

Finally we can delete photos in photostream. Can't imagine why they wouldn't include this to begin with but, eh, better late than never I guess.

Cleaning Out Your Photo Stream

iCloud: Resetting your Photo Stream

Did this just because I don't want everything I have done with my iPhone in the last month floating around out there. I'll take some more functionality in PS in iOS 5.1 but it is still the battery, the battery, the battery.

Yep! Same thing I would get every time. I do a search now and it finishes and says I'm current. So hopefully when B3 or whatever comes out OTA will work.

How about the fact that every video being uploaded takes a lot of data on Apple servers?

It makes PERFECT sense. It's called Photo Stream, not Video Stream, or Camera Stream.

Any updates to parental controls? I found that even if I disable "accounts" in restrictions, my kids can still setup iMessage accounts. I'd rather not have some predator finding them on their iPod touches. I'd really like to enable iMessage but restrict the folks who can send them messages and the folks they can send messages to (same with FaceTime).

My battery fix for my iphone 4s came as a new phone replacement. On my 3rd phone now and finally I can go a day without the battery running out.

I believe there is a slew of bad phones, not just software.

There will be no battery fix. As time goes on, the people who are absolutely fed-up with their iPhone's battery life and simply cannot take it anymore will bring their phones into the Apple Store and get a replacement. Like you, this will be their fix. Otherwise, people will just become complacent and adjust their lifestyle to the battery's lifespan (buying a car charger or charger for work, using airplane mode more often, disabling iCloud, etc.). It's human nature. Just think about the shear number of battery-related posts, blogs, or news stories over the past day compared to a day last month. They have decreased drastically. Is this because Apple has secretly snuck a firmware onto everyone's phone without them knowing it? No.

I can't fathom why deletion wasn't present from the start, but this is great!! Now I can finally use the thing.

Finally, the ability to delete Photo Stream photos. Should have been present from the start.
