iPad 3rd gen updated properly, my iPhone 5, on the other hand, crashed. Now I have to wait until I get home. iPhone is now a desk weight.

Try going to General -> Software update

You should see it manually check there and register.

i had to do a hard reset for it to show up.

I have indeed (it's an iPad 4th gen).

Have you tried erasing all contents and settings. Setting your iPad as new and then software updates

I got this after the post-install reboot while connected to my PC.
I don't recall seeing this in any other release ?

No, it was there in b3. I got this message after connecting my iPhone5 to another computer, different than the one I used to update from iOS6 to iOS7.

Yeah! Thats how I got mines. I normally plug my iPhone 5 to my iMac but was in the living room so I plugged my iPhone to my dad laptop and it popped up

Is there a way to make the status bar icons on the lock screen the same size as the status bar icons AFTER you unlock your screen? The status bar icons are smaller after you've unlocked your screen.

Go to https://developer.apple.com/account/overview.action

Select Devices.
Click the + button
paste you UDID number and assign a name.

Or, if the Dev centre was fully up, you get Xcode to set the device as for use in development and it will add the device for you.

So, after I download the update it turns off to install or whatever but then it only installs half way and turns on with beta 3.. what can I do to fix this?

And here's where that takes me...

You forget that the dev portal was offline for a while. On that same page you see where it says status page. Click on status page and then click on iOS Dev Center and login in and you have to be on your computer not your iPhone to do this

Close the app in the multitasking bar and open it and see what happens
