Is the performance of the new beta totally crap on the iPhone 4 still? Tried it with beta 1 and 2 and it sucked ass.

It's been great since Beta 3, Beta 4 was even better! Hopefully it continues to improve with Beta 5.

Its not just the install screen the boot screen has changed.. Its now white with a black apple

u can now start clicking on apps during the system animations, making the whole operation much faster. for example, during the folder opening animation, u can click the apps in the folder already.

Any changes with music playing on the lock screen? B4 had a bug when trying to skip tracks or move the slider... Shouldn't be able to slide to unlock at the top when music is playing.

I can't confirm more than anecdotal evidence, but I can say that scrubbing on the lock screen is much better. I just tested it and 10/10 times I was able to scrub the song without the phone thinking I wanted to unlock.

What I love about beta 5 is the music app is so much better!!

Here are two things I wanted in iOS 7 that didn't make it. 1) Notification sound. It is one of the very, very few sounds you can't change. 2) Notification expiry. In Notification settings, for each app you should be able to set an expiration period. As an example, do I really need CNN headline notifications sitting there forever until I manually delete them? Let them expire in a few days.

If your iPhones White then the install screen is white, if it's black then it's not.

Can someone please check the music controls on the lock screen to see if the screen bounces when you attempt to play/pause/skip?

I like the colored rounded recs. Makes the OS look less sparse and more polished. Though I know some flat design lovers probably hate seeing rounded recs.

They probably want to avoid completely copying the Windows phone OS and having coloured boxes and so have added some slight rounded corners or the IOS haters would be out in force
