SLIDE TO POWER OFF

I would have expected it to fade the background while showing that.

Wish I was on wifi to grab the update real quick.

Its not just the install screen the boot screen has changed.. Its now white with a black apple

Any changes with music playing on the lock screen? B4 had a bug when trying to skip tracks or move the slider... Shouldn't be able to slide to unlock at the top when music is playing.

What about us peasants?

Is the performance of the new beta totally crap on the iPhone 4 still? Tried it with beta 1 and 2 and it sucked ass.

That's kind of a cool touch. I saw someone updating earlier who said their install screen was white -- I was rather disappointed when mine started installing b5 in the original scheme. Very clever, Apple.

I have a white iPhone and my install screen is black.

The settings icons are great. Scrolling down to the App Settings section at the bottom isn't as drastic now that all icons share the same bounding shape. Also the colors help to identify certain settings people use more often than others, notably Do No Disturb and Sounds. The icons within the bounding boxes are still thin-lined so I don't know what this cry of inconsistency is all about.

I thought I read the install was 182 mb, but on my iPhone 4S, it is 124 mb.

Using my 2GB of data when I have a weak Wi-Fi signal is not a good thing. I'd rather it didn't switch until my signal improved.

To users with unlimited data plans the opposite could in many cases be better, so Ideally this would be a setting the user could change. Not that I'm counting it becoming one, though.

Well, at least it's now quick and easy to switch Wi-Fi off from Control Center when experiencing congested networks. So even if the automatic fallback feature is not going to make it to the final builds, it's still going to be an improvement over iOS6.

I had this issue in B4. You can still slide to unlock from the top BUT the music controls are MUCH more responsive now. Before this fix, I was using the Control Center from the lock screen to work around it.
