But you can just go the site and login with your Apple ID. Strange.

I don't have a paid developer account but I was able to log an issue using this tool.

Yeah, if the free developer account works, feel free to use it. The "Registered Apple Developer" always seemed vague to me since there are two types. Heck, even if your account is not a developer account and you can log in, there's nothing really stopping you other than Apple not responding.

Apple is a big company... definitely some of the employees also visit these sites and are in a position to instigate change outside of the standard channels if motivated...

Sure, they would still ask you to file radars though. There are some Apple Developers on Twitter that listen to user's issues and the first thing they say is "file a radar". They won't (and can't) do it for you since they want relevant information like system logs, etc.

the bu*lsh*t release which is 10.10 continues

Nope UI is still broken for performance, not even the new MacPro's we have run it slowly, so forget anything less powerful working as well as 10.9.x on the UI side.

Wifi - still issues, by this I clearly mean the same machines with 10.9.5 which had no issues, now have drops etc.

Host of other OS bugs, just tail the syslog to see them in action.

and the list of issues with new features in 10.10 is just endless.

It's still just an embarrassing release

Aargh!

Still can't pair my iPhone and my Mac using Bluetooth. If I were running Apple the head of their Quality Control program would be cleaning out his desk right now.

I hope they go back to keeping an OS X for 2 or so years. Maybe then they can get everything working properly. Why does one have to update to a completely new OS every year. Makes no sense really.

WiFi complaints in... 3....2...1.....

It is kind of insane that for a company as buttoned up as Apple that something as basic as reliable wifi is still an ongoing issue. This is what, the 4th OS update slated to fix the wifi dropping issue? (and it apparently still isn't fixing it for some people)

It's bizzaro world where a company can make the best phone in history but then a few years later if you aren't careful with how you hold it you lose your signal.

I'm curious what parts of their culture result in these super weird outliers. Something tells me their extreme secrecy and insular nature means limited testing outside their small product teams at HQ. Not enough variables.

I'm just wondering, does Apple actually do any testing themselves ? or do they just rely on developers and/or feedback ?

If not, then this could be why Wi-fi has been a long standing issue, Mail too.

If they've rewritten half of huge wireless framework, they should've expected issues - But release on date was apparently more important than stability, so...

They've released it - they might not exactly know what the issue is and they're trying multiple things - and it works in some cases but not in others... Therefore they definitely working on fixing Wi-Fi, but it looks more like "workarounding" than solving the issue completely, at least for me... Poor developers.

Just updated. Does not fix the wifi issue for me. (RMBP late 2012)

Still the advanced wifi menu shows strange readings. (full bars, MCS index 0???)
Did a CMD-OPT P + R, multiple reboots, deleted location.... And still the wifi is acting irregular...and slow....

check your router settings. make sure WMM is enabled. Some people tried disabling it to deal with oxs wifi issues... you will be forced down to 54mbps...

I find this new feature very interesting. How do I get it
option-click airport icon on menu bar for extended info. option-clicking menu bar items does all sorts of cool things... option-click the volume icon to change sound device... option-click notification centre icon to enable/disable DND...

I had Wifi issues with 10.9, but have had none with 10.10.

Even more stuttering? Oh please Apple, don't they understand that performance needs to increase, not decrease?

No stuttering here. 10.10.2 has been smooth for me.

I would be so happy if Apple would just make Yosemite right and never update again... Really tired of it... In the year 2015 it shouldn't be hard to get Wi-Fi right. Sheeeesh Apple Mail has never been this bad... really, I mean really. Did I say really? Cmon

I'm kind of with you on this. OSX needs a year of bug fixes and no new features. If they want to make it look nicer, that is fine. But I get so little value and know so few people who get any value out of the new features in OSX that I don't see the point.

That said, I don't have many OSX problems. I get a few moments of bad wifi. But things like getting phone calls on my PC doesn't do me any good. I've got a feature for that called Facetime if that is what I want. Otherwise I want my calls to stay on my phone.

Things like Continuity are of limited value to me and others I know.

But we do want a rock solid OS.

Try a clean install.

I hope at some point they'll address the bug where network connectivity dies on Mac Pros after waking form sleep about 50% of the time. I know it'll never be a big ticket item mentioned in the top few fixes, just wishful thinking.

Still many problems that don't occur in Mavericks not fixed in Yosemite. If you like to play with betas, enjoy. If you need a stable work environment, stick with Mavericks.

Yosemite still boots to my HDTV for some unknown reason, not my main display. Then after I sign on, it switches to the correct display. This is beyond annoying and I've reported it since the very 1st public beta. If I swap the display ports, Yosemite does the exact opposite, can't see the initial boot stages, can't even tell if it's booting until a minute later. Neither workaround is acceptable for anybody with multiple displays. In fact it's maddening.

Haven't checked the iPhone of Bluetooth Death bug yet. That'll take days to figure out.

I've seen all the other graphics glitches everyone else has. Most of them are minor, but still some problems that would make me go back to Mavericks if these other things aren't solved.

Try a clean install.

You can't do a clean install of 10.10.2 till the full installer is released - and that will only happen when it is publicly released.

The closest you can do for now is clean install 10.10.1 and update to the 10.10.2 beta. But technically that is not a clean install.

This update is the first that brought my 2014 MacBook Air back to full WiFi health. I am actually getting full speeds of 140mbps.
