This update might break CAT. I had to reactivate mine just now.
Yep, every OS X update, one has to re-activate Continuity using the CAT tool. Has trouble doing so.

I hope this fixes the issue I'm having with apple tv and airplay. I get stuttering, and lag using yosemite and my second generation apple tv.
Apple doesn't listen on these boards. The only way is to send them feedback. If you have a Mac Developer license, use bugreport.apple.com, otherwise, use feedback.apple.com. I found that Apple actually replies when using bugreport.apple.com system.
That said, I have filed multiple radars about graphical glitches, and they all have gone unresolved. They only asked me for system logs but then they failed to respond further. Once in a while after some time from the original radar filing date, they tell me that the issue "may" be fixed in the recent dev update build, even when clearly there was no work done on the graphics side.I have to keep telling them that the issue has not been fixed. I think they just want to close out the radars.

From apple: You must be a registered Apple Developer to use Apple Bug Reporter. I'm not sure if it applies to the free developer accounts as well though.
ALT click the wifi bars icon
I hope they go back to keeping an OS X for 2 or so years.
Apple, if you're listening
Feedback to Apple
If you're not a developer, then aim for either (a) https://appleseed.apple.com/ for the public beta or (b) http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html for one-way feedback about the OS.
Umm, there is a program on your Mac called Feedback Assistant. There's no need to hit all those pages.
Still many problems that don't occur in Mavericks not fixed in Yosemite. If you like to play with betas, enjoy. If you need a stable work environment, stick with Mavericks.
Yosemite still boots to my HDTV for some unknown reason, not my main display. Then after I sign on, it switches to the correct display. This is beyond annoying and I've reported it since the very 1st public beta. If I swap the display ports, Yosemite does the exact opposite, can't see the initial boot stages, can't even tell if it's booting until a minute later. Neither workaround is acceptable for anybody with multiple displays. In fact it's maddening.
Haven't checked the iPhone of Bluetooth Death bug yet. That'll take days to figure out.
I've seen all the other graphics glitches everyone else has. Most of them are minor, but still some problems that would make me go back to Mavericks if these other things aren't solved.
hopefully they fixed iTunes not recognizing devices
Maybe this will fix the graphics problems I am having with my MBPr. Also, handoff hardly works, and Airdrop to iDevices doesn't work at all.
This update is the first that brought my 2014 MacBook Air back to full WiFi health. I am actually getting full speeds of 140mbps.
check your router settings. make sure WMM is enabled. Some people tried disabling it to deal with oxs wifi issues... you will be forced down to 54mbps...
After installing Yosemite my late 2010 MBP crashes numerous times a day. Fix Yosemite give me my MBP back.

I find this new feature very interesting. How do I get it![]()
It is kind of insane that for a company as buttoned up as Apple that something as basic as reliable wifi is still an ongoing issue. This is what, the 4th OS update slated to fix the wifi dropping issue? (and it apparently still isn't fixing it for some people)
It's bizzaro world where a company can make the best phone in history but then a few years later if you aren't careful with how you hold it you lose your signal.
I'm curious what parts of their culture result in these super weird outliers. Something tells me their extreme secrecy and insular nature means limited testing outside their small product teams at HQ. Not enough variables.
??? you do realize its a beta build right?
