Running strong on my original 2008 aluminum MacBook. This thing just won't die.
Great series, especially with an SSD and 8 Gb of ram installed

I never see the loading bar in the indexing box, but that's the least of my worries. Apple ignored my reports about MAIL corruption, Bluetooth crashes that required shutting the machine down. So what did Apple do in response to my constant complaints. My Apple ID no longer works correctly. Sure, I file reports but they fall on deaf ears. No response. AND, publicly as announced here, they renounced any support for Mac models including mine that are in the system list for Macs certified to run El Capitan! If that's not lame I don't know what is.
It looks like I'm going to have to do another complete reinstall again from Mavericks.

THANK YOU MAVERICKS! Without lowly Mavericks, I would have probably lost THOUSANDS of important emails.

This update has solved nothing about my Mac not be certified with my Apple ID either nor does it fix any mail problems.

Looks like I'll start from scratch all over again. Apple has really let Mac OS go. It's sad really. And worse yet, they don't seem to care. :-(
If your mails are so valuable then I strongly suggest you not to use betas....

Downloading now... will let you know once I hit 50%!

How about they fix the wonderful glitch that affects USB Optical Drives that while ripping your music or movies over, causes them to shut off and fail? I moved back to Yosemite to be able to digitize my audio and video collection.
Cannot confirm.

My mail app would crash every 10 minutes or so on beta 1. Hopefully this build fixes things!
It does.

Apple please fix the problems we're having with external monitors not waking. I have to shut down my Mac Pro every night because the screen won't come on otherwise. And when are you going to finally introduce Apple 4K/5K monitors?
Cannot confirm.

I hope Mail is fixed. Doesn't play well with IMAP setups.
It does.

How to tell?
We can't.

Can anyone comment on whether or not this release fixes the Carddav issue that is present in the consumer release of El Cap? Thanks.

There are no issues on my machine, but it does not appear that 10.11.3 resolves the issue for everyone. I didn't have CARDAV sync problems to start with (11.0), but did in 11.2. I do not have them now - but the dev support community has not reported the problem as "solved" and several posts above indicate other MacRumors users still have problems.

This to me means that the changes are just too embarrassing to list.

I wonder if Apple starts releasing updates with only version numbers bumped, will people notice? OS X has felt the same for a long time. If I could theme the UI of say Lion to match El Capitan - what would be some of the obvious ways of knowing quickly what OS I am running?

I hope it fix my File vault bug.And i hope it fix from my macbook pro from boot props to.Haas anyone know if they fix the boot up prob?

Is the annoying "random scrollbar" issue fixed?
And what about system preferences open times? Under yosemite this was just instant, under el cap the first times it requires 2 to 5 seconds to show up. It's a shame with a brand new machine with a ****ing 1.3GB/s read speed!

(for who doesn't know what it is: on 2015 13" retina MacBooks pro sometimes the scrollbars are shown if settings are under "automatically show based on input")

I had the same thought but I try to be more optimistic (which is very hard given the number of bugs in 10.11.2).

I'm afraid that is going to happen. At this rate I'm fairly certain it will take at least 10.11.4 or .5 before Apple fixes Time Machine failure to restore files that I reported during beta testing...

I just did a quick restore of some .tiff files and it is working on my TC. I have also done at least one full system recovery on 10.11.2. So it may not be all systems.

I had intermittent TM problems. I did a full restore after I managed to format the drive with ALL MY DATA and all worked fine. And then I was showing TM to a friend who has a Mac and no backups and TM hung gloriously, without me being able to restore anything or exit TM without a hard reset.

I know it isn't in all systems, according to Apple engineers it occurs only in some combination of Macs and external drives. I have been told it's likely a bug in USB3 driver.

I'm surprised they have not released this with the .4 beta out now. I wonder if they might skip .3?
