I am using it right now: Safari, Finder windows, System Preferences itself. OS X 10.11.3.
Yup, he's right. It does work. I just enabled three finger swipe and it works in finder.

Ditto. Even after replacing all related hardware ( cables, modem, router, cable jacks, you name it ) with new, my iMac's ethernet connection drops about once a day, so the probability this is an OS issue increases. Thanks for mentioning this. Please release tomorrow, I'd really like my Ethernet port to stop disabling itself!
Yeah, i will try on a newer Mac tomorrow, sounds awesome (time to retire my oldies i guess), anyways, weird that the default swipe settings "2 finger roll" (or whatever it is called on the english version of OS X) doesnt seem to work in Finder? You had to change the settings for it to work? Kinda seems inconsistent, so the gesture ALWAYS works in browsers but we have to change from default to another one to get more of a global application swipe. Why not always be able to swipe in finder too?Yup, he's right. It does work. I just enabled three finger swipe and it works in finder.
Dang, that's more Betas than a college campus...lol
Mail and Safari could use a little love in this update. Mail 9.2 just seems to open on its own, whenever it feels like. Safari is so slow to load. I only use Adblock and WOT extensions.
I don't really understand people who complain that apple is going through too many betas, but then also complain about lack of quality control. It is precisely for the reason of quality control that they are going through betas. If it takes a couple of extra builds to fix bugs, by all means do it!
It's for the same reasons I'm also again a fixed release schedule. Apple releases new versions of OSX like clockwork every fall, but I disagree with that philosophy. I'd rather them release their stuff when it's ready as opposed to "release every fall" because that's what people expect. Who's with me on this?
Next you will be asking if Finder allows folders on top. Some people never stop demanding, demanding, demanding.Did they finally fix the green button being maximize instead of fullscreen? Are 3rd party apps like TotalFinder and XtraFinder now compatible?
My three-finger drag is broken, I have no reason why. The bug/reason might have somehow altered functionality, so three-finger drag items/Finder windows has been replaced with three-finger back and forth through Finder windows.
What did they remove?I know this horse has been beaten to death already, but please Apple, add the missing features back in Disk Utility!
Well the green button is not exactly a bug that needs fixing so much as a design decision. But I'm with you in the sense I'd rather have it maximize as opposed to enable fullscreen. I'd very much like a checkbox somewhere to toggle between the two which would make everyone happy.Did they finally fix the green button being maximize instead of fullscreen? Are 3rd party apps like TotalFinder and XtraFinder now compatible?
If not, then this update is useless.
Every beta a front page article?
Im missing this too, but i hve a different scenario. At some point my ability to use multi gestures to move windows and files around the finder has been removed. 2009 Macbook Pro. OSX 10.11.3 regular release.
It Used to be a preference, but can no longer find it. Intentionally removed id say.
The update is not about accomodating the shortcuts to your liking, and will never be. Stop asking. On the other hand, folders on top would be nice...Did they finally fix the green button being maximize instead of fullscreen? Are 3rd party apps like TotalFinder and XtraFinder now compatible?

Yeah that might be a culprit, because yes I have a glass trackpad. My three-finger drag is broken, I have no reason why. The bug/reason might have somehow altered functionality, so three-finger drag items/Finder windows has been replaced with three-finger back and forth through Finder windows.

I think my three finger drag was disabled when I upgraded to 10.11 and to enable it you have to go to Preferences, Accessibility, Trackpad and then I think advanced options or something. They really made it hard to find. Kinda stupid because I always thought it was super useful.Yeah that might be a culprit, because yes I have a glass trackpad. They changed the location of the three-finger drag. To activate it, you need to go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > Trackpad Options… and check Enable dragging with three finger drag.

The biggie IMO: RAID volumes can't be configured with El Capitan's Disk Utility ( must use command line ).What did they remove?
Damn, this is going to a be a highly polished release.

OSX has been pretty solid for me already but I can't say the same about iOS but yeah, the more testing the better.I hope so, it will be a first for a long time. Hopefully this marks the beginning of a period of refinement.
