Does anyone know if the iOS 10 Photos app has Faces again? I am not sure why Apple would remove this kick but feature, and I hope it comes back.
Wasn't removed. Mine just completed. The weeklong recognition of my 52k of pictures. Even has the scan for possible matches.

My hope is that this is 'done' and the update doesn't delete my data again. Between faces, places and deep learning I can find any picture from the day I bought my first Apple-brand digital camera. (Somewhere in the Room of Requirement)

i run GfE on my ipad without any issues on the betas. what are you seeing?

I can't speak for the OP but I personally found Good was running just fine for the first four betas, then in beta 5 it would crash during authentication (i.e. after entering password) every time! I have not been able to use it at all since installing beta 5.

I've just installed beta 6 and can report the same behaviour :-(

Just updates to public beta 5. Anyone else experiencing their ringtones going off even if the phone is on vibrate? and the messaging effects haven't worked since beta 4 for me.

Update: Having Reduce Motion on does turn off Messaging effects. and the sound/vibration resolved itself after I reconnected my Bluetooth.

I think, there must be some serious security plugs they must be fixing. There is no real reason to release betas weekly all of a sudden, unless there are some serious issues that were fixed and they want them plugged. But then, if that were the case, they would have released a point update to the normal OS channel as well. So.. can't really figure what's Apple's game here.
Nope normal weekly updates close to the end. Been that way a while now. The "game" is to finalize the various areas /issues that have been reported on and get them resolved before a final release.

Can I turn them off or remove the buttons? No? Huh, sounds pretty forced then.
You can roll back to iOS 9.3.4 and never update again. No one "forced" you to try beta software. Now that you have and you insist you dont like it, roll it back. Bam issue resolved! Or as others have stated there are options to turn off that will remove that for you as well.

Anyone getting that annoying issue where Safari will stop loading a page and if you refresh it or try to go anywhere else, it acts like its loading then gives you a blank white screen. It started with beta 5 and is still doing it in beta 6. But I'm not seeing anyone else with that issue mentioned here so maybe it's just me.

Edit: it's happened 3x already. The entire webs page becomes unresponsive and the only way to "fix" it is to close the tab entirely. Pretty frustrating
Maybe clear safari cache and web files may help? settings>safari

yes I updated my last statement. I can get into Good no issues but since I downloaded the latest beta no new emails are coming through. I also found that trying to remote into work through citrix is not working either.

Thought iOS 10 was super exciting.

a close all tabs button in Safari, etc...

You can do that in iOS 10 with a long press on the word ‘Done’.

I can understand wanting the customizability you desire, but personally I don’t and most others don’t too. Having set up a number of Android phones for people I can see why the tinker nerds like it and want the iPhone to be more like it, but that is a tiny niche market. I’m old, my friends are old, and they want a phone that just works and that someone else can help them out with by demoing on a practically identical phone.

I suggest anyone driven to jailbrake just switch to Android so they don’t have to and leave it at that.

I am *way* too far deep down the iCloud integration rabbit hole to switch platforms. If Apple gave a smooth way to disable iCloud Photo Library, then maybe. But even then, I find iOS just having a certain "way" of working that I just don't get with Android, I don't like it. iPhone from the hardware perspective is better than even the Nexus devices in my opinion. Apple may not always have the best specs, but the phones they DO build are solid quality.

iOS is a better fit for my lifestyle, given the money I've invested over the years in Apple and owning nothing but Apple devices. However, Android's feature set is compelling. There are many things Apple should note down (in my opinion) and add to the OS.

When iOS 10 ships (or perhaps 10.1 or 10.0.1), I will likely be removing the jailbreak and going back to vanilla stock iOS. But jail broken iOS is by far the best iOS experience I've had to date, and it'll be sad to see it go.

If only Google would learn from Apple in refinement, or Apple would stop being so restrictive on customization of the OS, or at least build some of this stuff in.

Thank God, Notifications have been sped up to clear them faster and on the lock screen!

Now clearing notification aren't tedious like before when you have a lot.

How about the ability to disable said visual diarrhea?

When you feel so strongly about something like you do, I can't help but wonder, what are your thoughts about the privacy of your data on the platform you intend to move to? Where each and every app requires near total access to your information, from contacts to location? How do you feel about that being forced upon you? How do you feel about the inability to disable that? How do you feel about the informational diarrhoea that will leak out of your phone every moment? (it seems though as if you are okay about that or don't know about the severity of that)

Apple's platform has a privacy approach that is need-based, not blanket where any app regardless of its purpose will have complete access to your phone's info only beyond which it will even begin to download.

8 pages of comments and not a single new feature discussed? Guess it's all bug fixes and iMessage/emoji bickering...
Seems like a lot of different things have been discussed. What new features were you looking for in a discussion about a 6th beta?

Hi,

I have 6s Plus i was using from the beta 2 and updating without any problems.

Now when i try to update the device to Public Beta 5, it gives error like there is an error occurred while downloading the update.

I have tried several times, anyone had such problem?

Thanks

Interesting that you're seeing a different issue. My crasher is very consistent.

Apps are no longer able to be updated for me. The previous two betas were excellent and apps would update immediately after opening the store. Fastest ever actually.

In this beta I get a spinning circle and they never update.
Have rebooted, selected, deselected, nothing works.

Your iMessage effects haven't been working, most prob cause you have reduced motion turned on in settings.
