You can still search by the person's name, it just doesn't show you a list of names.
Some adults have children. And young relatives. And other acquaintances that will spam them, however innocent their intentions might be.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this can become a major annoyance.
So in order to avoid visual diarrhea on my cellphone, I should tell kids to stop being kids? How about the ability to disable said visual diarrhea?
Like I said, I'm moving to Android so it's a moot point. I'm still entitled to my view, however. Apple is now catering to 12 year olds and it shows.
I don't know how much it takes from hard space...but if Emoji 5k version will take good chunk of hard space, I think there would be an outrage....probably.I agree about the stupid Emoji for kids but I just don't use them.

That was aimed at Nope
Android is still arse! It sucks, is ugly, and the battery life is still crap. The theming looks like little kids made them. That is the only thing missing from the iPhone is a fresh UI. - but the current one is clean and professional looking (not like an ape did the UI for Android). I have an S6 sitting in my drawer used for 2 days I will sell you for $300.
Just purely curious, but why do you have a S6 if you only used it for 2 days?
iOS 10 beta 6 optional sleep/wake button sounds:
As I think about this and back to the keynote, it almost seems a bit overkill adding all this stuff to iMessages. But I suppose I don't have to use it either. I wonder if any of the more advanced things can be disabled so others sending me these things come through more normal.
its easily disabled in accessibility by turning off zoom effects. How do you consider a feature that can't be disabled not being forced upon the end user?
So Apple shouldn't add features that could personally annoy you? Am I personally going to sue this feature? Not very often, but there will be plenty of people that do and that's why it is there. If people send me stuff that is stupid and annoying (in my opinion), then I just tell them to stop, mute their conversation, block their number, etc. - the same stuff that I do today. So in order to avoid visual diarrhea on my cellphone, I should tell kids to stop being kids? public beta 5 = developer beta 6Is this the public beta - bc I'm only seeing beta 5 out for public use?
Haptic feedback please!
Yeeeeeeeeeeah... I'm thinking that the problem here may not be iOS...Sorry, I don't actually live in 'Murica.
But I might as well. This slippery POS already has a nice long crack from corner to corner. Depending on resale value, I might take a hammer to it instead. I'm not joking either -- did that with an old IBM laptop that gave me nothing but trouble. Highly therapeutic, highly recommended.
public beta 5 = developer beta 6
Is this beta good enough for a main device yet or should I wait?
Thank you!In my opinion, wait. Some apps do not work, very very few so far that I've seen, but still...it doesn't really give you enough to be worth the beta to possibly screw up your main device. I'm using it on my iPad, which is really just a spare device for me...
Good luck!
What are you so concerned about with kids? Do you have facebook? Twitter? Snapchat? Because if you have any of these then you probably are aware that kids could spam you on those as well. How often do you have children texting you that are not your own? And if they are yours, don't you think it would be fun to have them send you silly texts once in awhile? I mean seriously, can you explain your logic?
Can I turn them off or remove the buttons? No? Huh, sounds pretty forced then.
Children sending emoticons and animations are disrespect
You can keep your animated images, and I'll move to a platform that's more adult friendly. I don't see the tension here.
