Installing on MBP 13" 2016 no-touchbar took about 35 minutes. Why are close/minimize buttons on music app lower than their typical position?

I haven't gotten on the beta for this reason alone. And I WFH mostly so that down time is not possible for me and cannot work.

If anyone else has a 2016 MBP with Touch Bar please confirm if you got it to install and within a normal person's lunch hour, LOL

For me, bugs in previous beta ...

1. Firefox would crash on launch. FIXED.

2. iMessage/Messenger would hang on quit if I attempt to close it a few seconds after using it. NOT fixed.

3. Spotlight searches iCloud Drive folders even if they're added to the privacy tab. NOT fixed.

4. Photos in an album that's deleted don't show in "Not in any Album" smart album. NOT fixed.

5. WiFi doesn't always reconnect after waking from sleep. Issue from beta 4, fixed in 5, returns. NOT fixed.

Someone asked if the Column Browser is back in the Music app. haha. I wish.

I'll edit this as I find stuff :)

not touching it until I hear from others who had the same problem, lol! I waited a few days before doing b5 once people started chiming in that it was still a problem, so I could do it over a weekend at least...

YMMV but on my 2016 15" MacBook Pro the install took about 20-30 min on beta 6. Beta 5 took 12+ hours for me. It was probably longer than that in reality on beta 5 but I left it installing overnight after hour 12 and it was done when I looked at it the next morning so not sure how much longer.

All of these issues work for me, I don’t have anything hanging at all. Only problem I had for FF and it’s working now properly and it took 25 min to install on IMac 5K i5 2015 machine
[doublepost=1566241129][/doublepost]I have been updating from beta to beta since 2017 with out a single issues every, I just always install beta over beta and I mean there were some issues but nothing that cannot wait 2-3 months for it to be fixed you know. And this is my daily driver iMac

Downloaded and installed in less than half an hour.

It seems like Apple had to prioritize iOS again this cycle. iOS will have to reach GM status next Friday in order to be released in the week of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Apple Watch 5. I think Catalina will be release 2 weeks later. This beta is kinda big (> 3 GB delta) and many issues aren't resolved yet.

Interesting. How did you add your iCloud Drive to your spotlight privacy list? From the left-side of a Finder window, or by going into ~/Library/CloudStorage ?

There's a new icon for the Notifications preference pane.

Did I dream this or didn't Craig say something about them updating the UI's for all of the marzipan apps from last year (Home, News, etc.)?
