Time to install for me.

Beta 1-3. Normal.
Beta 4-5. Multiple days. Not joking
Beta 6. Normal.

2018 MBP 15"

Identical except for MBP. Took the plunge after reading more here and reddit, less than an hour (=normal)

Woohoo!!

I still have no idea why Apple calls it TV since there is nothing "TV" about it. I was hoping with the TV app, I would be able to view content like I do on my Apple TV such as my Spectrum cable app. It makes about as much sense as it did for Apple to include movies and TV shows in iTunes.

Those functions will probably depend on Mac Catalyst apps from video providers

e.g. in the UK, if the BBC make a Catalyst iPlayer app, I'd expect content from iPlayer to show up in the TV app, and if Amazon make a Prime app, Prime content should show up in the TV app.

Until this happens, the Mac TV app will still be the poor relation of the iOS versions, and really only useful for playing iTunes content and, in the autumn, Apple TV+ content.

Sad day. I have to have Firefox to do work. Went back one version, and did a completely clean re-install of FF. Still crashing. Welp, this beta is done for me. Reported it all to Apple and Firefox.
Firefox 68.0.2 (64-bit) is working for me on a Macbook Pro. Maybe an extension is causing a problem?

Man, I hope this updates the firmware on my mac mini that been giving me the white screen of death when you are booting up from the EGPU monitor and not the built-in HDMI.

The bug that causes Messages to crash when quit (if not waiting for a while after launch) is still there!
Mine got that bug after installing the previous beta and was still there after installing this one.

However, I then deleted every "ichat" file in ~/Library/Preferences and it's fixed it for me, without losing any settings either.

My Sonnet 350 booted up (several times) to login screen via DisplayPort to Sonnet to Thunderbolt 3. The Apple logo did seem a bit delayed though.

Anyone else not seeing this update? Tried a few times, Software Update says my Mac is up to date. I even tried reinstalling the profile.

softwareupdate -il also shows nothing. Arrgh!

It feels like it's getting there.

Current issues I still have:

- Archive Utility still crashing whenever a zip file is opened, and unzipping never completes. Can anyone else confirm - it's happening on both of the machines I have on the beta.

- Continuity / Handoff / App Watch unlock still not working on frontmost logged-in profile when using Fast User Switching ... but this has been a bug throughout High Sierra and Mojave too, with no indication when it will be fixed from Apple Support.

Fixed for me:

- Messages crashes
- Apple News not showing all content, with endless spinner
- Music navigation bugs, as mentioned in release notes.

... will add any other bugs I find

Not having any of those issues, actually Beta 6 just fixed the Watch unlock for me and sidecar is also working again, both stopped working in beta 5. I actually think Beta 6 is very polished and may be ready to be a daily driver.

The Continuity / Handoff / Watch unlock bug is only when using Fast User Switching on the Mac, not in general use. In a situation where there is more than one profile logged in on the Mac, none of those functions work properly for me on the currently front-most 'active' profile.

Interesting that Archive Utility is working for you though. Older posts on similar bugs mention deleting the pref file for Archive Utility, but it doesn't appear to be in any of the Library / Preferences folders. Does anyone know where it is in Catalina? (com.apple.archiveutility.plist should be the file name I believe)

Xcode 11 beta 6 is out (the Xcode release notes link still mistakenly points to beta 5 notes at this time though so I can't tell what's different).
Thank goodness. Xcode 11 beta 5 was getting to be a mess for me; hopefully this goes a bit better.

Do JetBrains IDEs work properly now?

I couldn’t open anything in them, browsing in Finder just didn’t work.

First install of 10.15 Public Beta on my 2015 15" 1TB 16GB MBP. Installed without incident and seems to work fine with the basics like Mail, Messages and Word. Obviously haven't tried every feature yet. Whole download and install took just under an hour.

FWIW, Firefox appears to work normally for me.

For the archive utility, I use that multiple times a day, no issues at all during any of the Dev Betas. I'm not sure on Fast User Switching but I do have an issue where sometimes it doesn't see what's open on another device if I'm using multiple devices at once. For instance, if I'm on my iMac but jump on my MBP then do something on my Watch or iPhone, it will ignore the watch and iPhone and only see what I'm doing on the MBP and I only use one user profile on my Macs.

Nope, it still has the white screen of death issue with eGPU... :( I'm using a Mac Mini 2018 + an RX 570 eGPU. However if I do a power cycle to my eGPU the login screen appears.
