Apple Seeds Sixth OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta to Developers

Good. Among 3 betas (iOS 9, watchOS 2, and OS X El Capitan), El Capitan is the buggiest and least stable by far (and probably the most complex update). I welcome higher beta counts to get the OS as smooth and stable as possible.

If I jjust go back to purchases and download the "El Capitan Developer Beta" will it download this latest version??? It is not coming in on my updates, at all.

Hm, interesting. Here's hoping for iOS 9 beta 5 tomorrow. If not, it'll probably be next Tuesday. It's around this time in the beta phase Apple move to three-week windows for iOS betas though.

Nobody seems to care because nobody is download the beta 6 update, and nobody has already got it!!! So nobody has jack to report because nobody can GET IT!

I am saying nobody has this beta 6 update because it's not even available to download on any of the registered developer channels and has not been released. Nobody has it!!!

I am registered developer and my App Store is not showing it. Via Software Update...do I just re-download the main "El Capitan Developer Beta" or what? I thought that was developer 1 which I do not want to install over DP4

Safari has been fine here, the last update makes it very snappy. Turn off extensions, that's the most likely reason for crashes.

Extensions are a part of Safari. If it crashes because of them then Safari is not fine. This isn’t like a plugin that is executed on its own and has a separate process (even then it shouldn’t crash Safari, crash resistance has been part of Safari since Snow Leopard). Safari does crash in certain cases, I have had it crash numerous times throughout the beta, mostly due to the buggy save sheet. I also had to quit it several times due to glitches with the new sidebar and the pinned tabs. All reported of course.

My question is...are you all downloading the main installer again...or downloading a delta software update via the app store? My assumption is the "El Capitan Developer Beta" in the "App Store Purchases" is the DP1 release not DP6, and that is why I have been waiting for a software update, which mine shows none exist. That is why I am confused, bear with me. Thanks.

It's being delivered via the 'Updates' tab in the App Store app. No need to go into 'Previous Purchases' -- it'll update the exact same way as every previous update to DP1 (and just like a normal, non-beta update)

EDIT: If it's not showing in the Updates tab, just press Cmd+R every now and then to check again. It'll appear eventually.

You are correct, if you download the installer from the "Purchased" tab in the App Store, that will download the Beta 1 installer. You need to click on the "Updates" tab to get the latest (Beta 6) update installer. Mine just appeared, so maybe it is slowly rolling out. Patience, it is there--or will be shortly.

Then why does it say "No Updates" available, even if I check 50 or 100 times, when some people on here are saying they've already got it up and running. What am I doing wrong?
