The only problem I had was with VirtualBox: it wouldn't run any of my Windows 10 VMs.Same here. Have upgraded my productive install because Apple stopped offering target selection when downloading through software update and luckily I did not regret it. In fact, I am glad this happened because Ventura is running so much better than Monterey at least for me. Performance is better and it's a lot more stable.
I haven't tried installing it on my M1 MBP Max yet.Compared to the previous time for it to install this was really quick, installed on M1 24" iMac and 16" M1 Max MBP.
Understand, I have each backed up using CCC to make a ASR recognizable volume for Migration Assistant. DFU is always a fallback.I haven't tried installing it on my M1 MBP Max yet.
I'm tempted, but not fully decided to do it. It's my main Mac.
By changed, it actually works now. This is what it was supposed to look like, matching the iPad UI.
I concur. The restart after download/prep was faster, and the whole install went much faster.
Ventura so far runs with little to no issues. I did encounter bugs on rare occasions but so far but this is pretty stable for a beta. No crashes with all the apps I use.Looks like some nice enhancements in this beta. I’m really looking forward to Ventura.
Any sense of bugginess? Is Ventura going to be a long-wait for patches before adding to commercial workflows like Monterey?
You use Plex and/or Mamp Pro? Do both of those work?I installed the first beta on my MacBook by accident (over my production volume), and it's been very stable. No noticeable issues. Not the classic buggy beta.
That seems like a really good bit of progress with beta evolution.Nice stage manager can be customised - well sorta
Thanks. Could you describe the change here?

Well, "sorta" cautious. "Cautious" would be to not install a beta release on your daily driver at all.I think I'm still going to wait for 1-2 more beta releases until I install this on my daily machine. Call me cautious.
Neither one of those. Did you find an issue with those apps? You use Plex and/or Mamp Pro? Do both of those work?
How about windows 11 on VMWare Fusion Player? Was it as smooth too?The only problem I had was with VirtualBox: it wouldn't run any of my Windows 10 VMs.
So I started looking for other options and ran into VMWare Fusion Player. Got a free license and it runs Windows as it if was native, with Direct X 12 support, etc. I was amazed by it!
I was also able to run High Sierra (for QB 2016)
