Would love to see that rumored ATI 5800 card in an iMac update, but i'm sure that'll be for the Mac Pro and not the iMac.
Yeah same here, but the re-encode sort of works for the mobile devices, while I keep the main library in loseless.
Seeing as how I just joined the Apple family last month after years of watching from the outside...I am too forming a wish list:
MacBook Pro - check - purchased for my wife last month
1) iMac i7 - will purchase as soon as the refresh happens
2) iPad 64GB - hoping I get it for my birthday next month...but too frivilous to go drop the money on it now.
3) iPhone4 32Gb - waiting for my contract to expire on my VZW Blackberry
4) AppleTV - waiting to see what the next generation offers...might make the jump on this "Hobby"
Maybe i'm missing something, but what type of person wants a classic iPod?

My iPod classic gets used every single day in my car. I ran the dock connector into my center console so the only time the classic ever leaves the car is when I get new music. The iPod itself is completely controlled by the in dash head unit.
It's not a club and it's not a family. If it was a family, I would have already started poisoning my siblings or run away.
You just bought some consumer products, manufactured for Apple Inc by a Chinese factory. There is no drama in that.
RIP iPod Classic: September 2010
Based on Apple's update methodology this summer a Mac computer has been updated every month on the Tuesday that falls closest to the middle of the month...
April 13th - MacBook Pro
May 18th - MacBook
June 15th - Mac Mini
July 13th - ????
August 17th - ????
September 14th - ????
My money is on the MacAir in July and the iMac in August. Both of those computers would benefit from being on sale prior to the start of school this fall. The MacPro is surely to get updated after the other two...so I will peg September for the MacPro release.
Obviously Apple will kill the iPod, with only nine million sold per quarter. Not.
I can't see how long the iPod classic is going to be around, sales must be fairly miserable.
Wrong!
Amazon.com ipod classic:
Black model: #11 seller in electronics, #3 in mp3 players
Silver model: #34 seller in electronics, #9 in mp3 players
http://www.amazon.com/Apple-classic...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1278446572&sr=8-1
ipod touch models are #1,2 and 4 in mp3 players depending on storage size.
Nothing shabby about that.

In no way is that remotely ironic.Ironically, whatever is wrong with the iPhone 4 is related to the phone part.

I think MacBook Air and MacPro in July and August, but not sure of the order. The iMac is part of the Back to School promotion that ends in September. I think new iMacs will come after the promotion ends.
Nope. I'm surprised the Classic has reached #3. Saying that - be interesting to know the actual units sold rather than the sales rank.
