You mean you don't remember this:

And then this:

???

And that applies to all the lawsuits? Even the ones that have absolutely no meaning? And what times are you talking about? Oh back in 2006?

We are in 2011 Einstein! wake up!

Creative absolutely didn't have a case against Apple then. I am not saying Apple is always innocent but the sheer stupidity in your comments and the constant apple hate is thrilling at best.

So why do you keep buying Apple gear and then posting about how much you hate it on an Apple-centric forum?

I hate on Apple, I don't hate on their products, I criticize them because its what forces Apple to make them better for consumers like you. Unless what you want is development to become stagnant?

I've been disgusted with Apple ever since the iPod had its monopoly on the digital audio player.

The iPod was not a monopoly.

That clever deal with Samsung to provide Apple dibs on NAND memory at low cost before any other competitor could sell a product at a fair price was TOTAL BULL.

Price fixing at its best.

You also don’t know what price fixing is.

Perhaps you wouldn’t be so disgusted if you actually understood Apple hasn’t committed any of the acts you mention, or understood better how businesses are operated.

Agree. I like Apple products but hate their business practices

So why do you keep buying Apple gear and then posting about how much you hate Apple on an Apple-centric forum?

Why do you think "Apple-centric" is the same as "Apple-fan"? Seriously. This is "MacRumors: news and rumors you care about". I missed the part where I have to like Apple. I am, however, interested in them. The desire on the part of certain individuals here to have this be a pro-Apple echo chamber is puzzling, since it's behavior I don't see on car sites, or bike sites, or PC hardware sites.

Anyway, you get an awful lot of downvotes for someone who is constantly singing the praises of Apple on an Apple-centric site, but that never seems to dissuade you.

Cant wait to see your intellectual post be down ranked for apparently obvious reasons in this thread.

Love how they changed it from an iPhone 4 ripoff to an iPhone 3G ripoff.

Ripoff may be strong (we'll see what the court says this time), but it's true, when I first saw it, I thought it looked a little less like an iPad and a lot more like my iPhone 2G.

Then again, there's not a bazillion ways to do 'black slab'.

So . . . you buy stuff from a company whose attitude, practices, and business philosophy you find disgusting?

Do you realize that all of that is inseparable from the product that arises from that attitude, those practices, and business philosophy?

You keep giving your dollars to Apple, you keep assenting to whatever it is they're doing.

All of those are work-arounds, most of which are alleviated by using other brands; Cowon. They should be FEATURES that are offered right out of the box.

As for the skull candy link.... LMFAO!!! Youre not serious, are you? Those are CRAP!

I know the type of people (who have chosen to infest Mac Rumors) who do the down-voting. Which means I'm not bothered in the least.

So . . . you buy stuff from a company whose attitude, practices, and business philosophy you find disgusting?

Yes. You don't criticize Apple often (if ever), so I don't expect you to understand rational thinking in this case.

Do you realize that all of that is inseparable from the product that arises from that attitude, those practices, and business philosophy?

No.

That doesn't mean I fail to realize the shortcomings of the company's products OR their business practices.

I give Apple credit where its due, and criticism where its due. I voice my credit with my wallet. The voiced criticisms you see HERE or elsewhere.

That clever deal with Samsung to provide Apple dibs on NAND memory at low cost before any other competitor could sell a product at a fair price was TOTAL BULL.

Price fixing at its best.

One company contracting with a supplier to buy their supply (even all of it) at bulk is not "price fixing". More like a sort-of monopolist selling to a kind-of monopsonist.

So I assume everyone on this forum who bitches about AT&T and Verizon don't use them?

Way to totally ignore the main part of my post. Do you not have an answer for it?h

Yes. You don't criticize Apple often (if ever),

When they give me a reason to, I'll post about it.

That doesn't mean I fail to realize the shortcomings of the company's products OR their business practices.

I would love to know how much Apple spends every year on their these lawsuits. Including salaries, offices, etc. it's got to many tens of millions at a minimum, if not hundreds. Is it really worth it? Apple is already dominating the market in profits, why not just collect licensing fees and squeeze their competitors' bottom lines even tighter?

All of those are work-arounds, most of which are alleviated by using other brands; Cowon. They should be FEATURES that are offered right out of the box.

As for the skull candy link.... LMFAO!!! Youre not serious, are you? Those are CRAP!

Having a workaround means that you're not 'forced' to use iTunes, there is a removable battery, you can retrieve files, you can extend your battery life by settings, and sound quality is only as good as your headphones allow. I'm trying to point out that if something doesn't do something you want it to do out of the box, you're not helpless about it. There are things you can do to remedy the situation.

And as for the skullcandy link, would you rather use Apple's included ear buds? The point was to buy different headphones if it's such a big deal.

Except that no one besides those at the receiving end of Apple's lawsuits actually care.

Apple's legal maneuvers and patent activities don't factor into consumer buying decisions. Nor is there any point for it to be otherwise.

Not right now. But if Apple were to somehow (miraculously) get their way, pretty soon no one would have any other choice BUT to buy Apple products. That directly factors into consumer buying decisions.

And as much as people like you would think that'd be a good thing, it would be anything but. Think Apple would continue to innovate if they were the only corporation left to produce tablets and phones? No. Of course they wouldn't. Why would they have to? They'd consider the product as-is to be good enough for the next 10 years. You'd see incremental upgrades, and you'd get charged double for them. Hell, it happened with AT&T, who held communications technology back in the US for decades. It happened with Microsoft, who pretty much sat on their ass after XP, until Apple and Google started breathing down their neck. It happens with any monopoly. Apple won't be any different just because they're Apple.

I know the type of people (who have chosen to infest Mac Rumors) who do the down-voting. Which means I'm not bothered in the least.

The people who down vote you are those that see. They see Apple is a company, not their family. If it was a family member, I can understand protecting and defending them, but Apple is a company.

They also see that the company is run by humans. Humans aren't perfect. We as humans make mistakes. So due to this, Apple has made mistakes.

I never see you bash Apple. I see that you enjoy making threads on how other companies suck, and how Apple is the perfect god. Seriously, your posts are down ranked, because the people who can see, see how much of a biased, blind, and dare I say (sometimes even a troll) member here you are. No offense meant, deny it all you want, but its true.

Frankly I don't understand why you dedicate your life to Apple. Its only a company run by humans. This isn't about politics or religion, but about a consumer electronics company.

Notice most of your threads are about how amazing Apple is, or how the competitors don't have a chance, or plan suck. Never anything negative about Apple

I think we both know that would be unlikely. There are still an ocean of bad Android tablets out there to choose from, and a few non-Android devices on fire-sale, LOL. In time, MS will join their long and distinguished list.

Speculation is fun.
