Why Apple?

Samsung products are always inferior to Apple products. They will always be one step behind you guys.
What is the point of suing them? Can't you focus on making your products better and stop fearing that Samsung would overtake you guys.

I would assume the phones he lists multiple times were not purchased multiple times.....rather he went back to that phone (which he kept) to use as his daily driver.

Well that is still 14 phones then! Like I tell my wife though, some people blow money on making their cars look like the Fast & Furious and some, like myself, spend it on electronics that make their lives more enjoyable (and it adds to my career in the Tech field, hence, I am investing in my career). HAHA

Come on Apple. Do you realize even your faithful followers are now getting tired of this?

They should concentrate on making beautiful devices..
Seems Samsung S4 is a heavy rival for Apple.. Good for us, well i am swithing this week to a S4 - iOS and the small screens got boring.. :)

I guess we all needed to hear this for some reason...

----------

Color me surprised. Apple the worlds biggest cry baby does it again.

To me this just tells me Apple is running scared.

And some say there aren't Apple haters on MR, especially new registrants. ;)

Apple is going in the right direction. Understand that it needs to be fair if they are entering a competition arena. You need to have unique devices to be able to compete not similar devices. For Example: The W8 phone is a complete different device therefore it is a fair competition. The Blackberry Z10 the same. Samsung Needs to build a unique interface with different gestures and features to be able to fit Apple Fair vision.

Do you think Mazda wouldn't sue an idiot claiming he's selling a rotor engine car? Apple learn this back in the days when MS wanted to use the same features and functionality on an OS. They lose because MS lawyers were daredevils poker face brilliant executers and at the end they show the judge that their OS was DOS and that Windows was a File Management Application. So DOS didn't look like Mac OS at all.

Now Apple is fighting with a reason. Android was meant to physical keyboard phones until iPhone appear from nowhere. Suddenly Bam! The G1 was born.

Site suggestion...

How about a tab for patent and legal news and the option to omit news stories regarding such to be omitted from the front page? This is a serious suggestion; I understand these stories are "Mac Rumors", but they are incredibly repetitive and predictable.

phones before & after iphone

Let's not forget why Apple is pissed...

The LG Prada came out before the iPhone. That's not saying much, but it was still the first fully touchscreen phone.

Hmm, how many Mac Pro spec bumps could they've done with all that money that they feed to their attorneys ?

Samsung makes great washing machines and sells an awesome life insurance. I'm not joking. Life insurance, FCOL

They were purchased each time. But outgoing phones usually sold for enough money that transitioning to the next phone cost me very little... Or I made money (especially when my new phone was being subsidized). Also. The Galaxy S III and the HTC were both returned to the store for a full refund.

Your post would hold more water had you shouted the same out to Samsung. What do you expect a company to do while one company is constantly copying them and belittling their customers in ads, just ignore everything and keep making better products? I think not.

I'm not. I'm all for it. If Apple just ignored the *possibility* of patent infringements then it would make the entire process of applying for protection of your inventions redundant. Worse still, if they ignored the possibility then the market would be (even more) rife with copying and innovation would die out.

Apple have a lot of money, they are choosing to use some of that money to protect their ideas. Samsung are doing the same. I would also do the same, if I had any patent that I believed was being infringed.
