I will always say this, Apple was good because of Jobs. Jobs cared about the user experience and the final product, Tim is another "suit" that cares about spread sheet numbers. If it continues, it will turn into another IBM.

No doubt, it's what people are right to infer about the overpriced product with bad value in a design flaw like butterfly mechanism and the customers are forced to pay upfront upgrade for an extra amount of RAM and storage. Tim Cook is responsible for all the nitty-gritty of subpar products that Apple has made over the past few years.

Why would Apple change it's pricing and marketing strategy, when they are a runaway seller as it is? Apple won't. If you want said product at a fraction of the price, there are knock-offs that are available.

To be fair, Apple products used to be much more reasonable than they are now. I do agree though, if you don't want it don't buy it, and I agree that the merchant has the option to charge whatever and how much he wants for his goods. The truth remains though, they are over expensive and we can't change reality. The other reality is, you can make your choice.

I will stick to my opinion that Apple used to target the average consumer and used to target the "educational" market. Today Apple is the Gucci of electronics, you have to be in some rich school to afford Apple gear. You see the difference?

iPod, iPhone, iMac, iTunes, iSuite, iBook, and the rest...they were aiming at the average joe not the Programmer/3D artist joe.

The issue I have with the above is that there is crowd in that space that is named "over expensive".

I'm not sure where apple products were ever targeted to the average consumer. Iphone 1 at $599? Apple had to reduce the price.

That's vary based on the customer requirements and price need to drop back to usual if the production cost is reduced.

Apple was made in the 70s not 2007. $600 is a reasonable price. Nokia phones used to cost around $350 and more. For $250 extra you got large screen, full color display, Wifi, touch screen, full web browser, GBs in local storage, video ipod...seems worth it to me. Now compare that to $700 for a set of wheels for your mac!

On the other hand, the new iphone SE costs starts at $399, less than the iphone 1. So some things are more expensive than others.

For anyone that is wondering- I believe firmware 2D3 was released sometime yesterday or last night. I had one replacement left AirPod running 2D3 and one right AirPod running 1A691. I used the right one yesterday afternoon. And then put it back in the case and between now and then it updated to run 2D3. I imagine others who were caught in the 2D3 replacement debacle will hopefully start seeing similar results.
