Without digging thru this thread etc, do we have a comprehensive post / discussion here of the most plausibly list of iGadgets that Apple will cover in this event?

Is Apple going their reinvention take of the vacuum cleaners too? Hehe :D

iPad
Apple TV
Mac Pro
MacBook Pro
Mavericks

Though no one has mentioned any iPod updates, that's possible too.

As for most likely...I'm voting mostly iPad.

After Christmas - because PS4 comes out in around 50 days :p

They just announced that Watchdogs was delayed until Spring, 2014. That was the only reason a PS4 was going to be a day-one purchase for me. Now I can wait and pick up the PS4, Watchdogs and Infamous: Second Son all at once. :)

Lets not forget, the 3rd gen iPad they simply called "the new iPad" on stage at their keynote. iPad 3 or 3rd gen is what we all used to identify it.....if I'm not mistaken.

Yes but on the website it was called 3rd Gen as well. "what we all used to identify it" that is true, and I'm not against people having all different unofficial names for things. My question why do fans who insist of having all the latest up to date Apple info in all it's correctness, not use the official name for it?

iPad 5S air? 9.7"
iPad mini retina?
iPad 12"? (Retina?)
iPad 5C? :D

MacBook Pro 12" air+iPad like retina, ftw! (Thinness & multi-touchscreen)

^* that's probably the rumored thinner 12" MacBook Pro & iPad

That, is actually a great question :)

if there is no macbook pro retina... i will suicide by eating my old mba and then sue apple for compensation of intoxication by metal components.

wait...

Is Apple planning to reinvent (aka without infringing Dyson patents) the vacuum cleaning industry too? Hehe :D

All joking aside, the vacuum industry already has their own "Apple"...and it is, as you implied, Dyson.

While not running too far afield, Apple ought to be looking into industries that a) lack an "Apple" and, b) where their specific set of skills could be applied to create killer products. Funny thing is, I suspect Nest cold have been something Apple did. And maybe they'll buy Nest someday.

Im actually NOT excited for this event. Maybe its because its the iPad or maybe because Im more excited for the Google Nexus 5 event later this month.

However I am looking forward to Mavericks and maybe iOS 7.1

Funny thing is a guy that was a part of the original iPod design team is the creator/CEO of nest. I'm sure you can see the influence in their (nest) design. I love my thermostats.

a) Stream = No they won't stream. Apple's on the no-stream bandwagon as of lately.

b) Retina Mini = Yes. Apple will announce the Retina Mini on Monday. I am 90% sure of this.

Didn't Apple stream last years iPad event?

I know. The "Apple Way" is definitely showing through there. I think it's great. I hope more folks start to branch off and start creating killer products where Apple is unwilling or unable to venture.

Tim Cook

I know Tim Cook is no Steve Jobs and I wouldn't want him to take away from Jobs' legacy but I just wish Tim Cook would say "One More Thing" at the end of his presentation

Musician? Do you still have time for music as often as I read your comments you seem pretty busy surfing rumor sites.

;-) I am a drummer myself but to busy with physics :D

I like technology, what can I say!? :D

Yes, though, you'd be surprised at how much time you can find in your day.

I couldn't agree with you more. As long as it means great products for the consumer, count me in :)

I actually suspect they have very consciously and deliberately avoided doing that...and with good reason.

I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing some subtle drifts, over time, away from the presentation style and format as well. It would be smart to do so I think.

"We still have a lot to cover?"

What does "still" mean? Still, as in the year is almost over? Still as in, we kinda sorta just announced a new iphone but we still have a lot to cover? I don't get it.

Come on, people – think different! The "lot" refers to their property in Cupertino. They still have to cover it with their spaceship campus. Tim is letting us know that we need to buy Apple's new products so they can afford to complete the campus. (Okay, maybe that's a stretch. :D)
