Lol sold fewer but made more. If you keep jacking the prices eventually you lose customers. Recent iPhone sales are proof of that.
What lost customers? Lower unit sales doesn't mean you lost customers...it means people didn't upgrade. The active installed base grew 100M y/y.

You know why they’ve set revenue records? Because the components of the ancient crap doesn’t cost a cent to buy and they still sell it at above premium prices. Those margins must be around 70 or 80%.

Lol, somewhere in 2022 but they are available to preorder from today :D
No, their hardware margin is somewhere around 31%, just disclosed.

So, I pay $15 a month for Apple Music for a family subscription. $9.99 a month for iCloud Storage. Around $15 a month for Netflix. Amazon Prime is over $100 a year. Then cable and cell phone service. Now I have to pay another $9.99 a month for News and who knows what for the video service.

I tap out.

Disagree that updated AirPods won't merit on stage time at some event. Depending on what is added, could be significant feature, such as health monitoring, and on stage is best place to explain new features like that plus Siri, etc. Ditto for Airpower. Sounds like this will be materially different than any other charging pad out on the market and Apple may want to take a couple minutes to explain why the likely price differential is worth it, and to show off their engineering skills.

I was just thinking I needed another biased, filtered news service that borderlines on “fake news”.

Once you’re online could you please send a journalist over to document my Macs poor performance?

First, if you are paying for multiple magazine and news subscriptions, this will save you a bundle. Still less than many cable bundles, plus if Apple bundles some of these, it may be a great value. Y

ou are right though that the video streaming aspect is rapidly coming to a head. That's why Netflix is in a precarious position. With Disney, Apple, Amazon, Hulu, Google, Sony, etc., etc., they can't keep raising prices to keep up with huge increase in costs. And, Netflix is a one trick pony while the other giant competitors have other revenue sources. Remember, they are all bidding against each other for the same group of actors, directors, producers to produce "original" content for them. There's not one of them that is doing anything unique and fans generally have no loyalty to a streaming service. If someone wants to watch GOT or anything else, they don't care where it's on. I think you'll see the FUBO's etc., go out of business and a lot of consolidation.

Will Apple finally announce a good desktop computer that doesn't destroy your bank account?
Mac mini? Might be on the more expensive side, but you can easily get 7 years out of an Apple Computer. Or do what I do... Put $20 aside every time you get paid, then you get a "free" $1500 computer every 3 years. Plus whatever you can sell your old one for, usually at least $500.

Apple is too conservative to succeed in the video streaming industry. They need few brutal and series with sexual scenes. They won’t allow this, and this strict conservative attitude will lead to failure.
Disney like failure?

Focus on services rather than hardware? I would suggest that this is a new focus. They are a large team and can do both.
