Focus on services rather than hardware? I would suggest that this is a new focus. They are a large team and can do both.

Not every event has to be hardware focused, and that’s not to say that Apple won’t introduce some hardware with the AirPods, an updated iPod touch, or revamped iPad mini. But the importance of services is certainly there, and Apple has had significant growth with services over the last two years, and I think it’s important that they continue to advocate their expansion with services, which to me, we shouldn’t have the expectation that hardware is the primary focal point for every Keynote.

New apple TV with true-hd lossless audio and dts-ma support please, or am i asking too much ?

That does not require new hardware. That's all software.
And infuse already supports that. You could have been listening to TureHD/DTS-MA this whole time!

Netflix and Prime Video has me covered. Apple Music is £10 anyways. They probably want more money for video. Doubt they'll have enough good original content.
The video service will be free for ATV/iphone/ipad owners. At least per the "leaked" info.
The list of shows they're working on is long and rather impressive. They have a lot of big names involved from actors to directors, producers and writers. The talent is certainly there.

Apple is so lost right now. Instead of producing great products, they are looking for any which way possible to milk their customers. How can such a great company fall down this stupid path.
They aren't lost at all. Hardware sales have peaked. Phone and tablet sales are declining(I work in the industry, sales are down big time, the chip industry is slowing). There just isn't the same need to rush out and buy these products anymore. Updates are minor.
Apple is adapting. All the money is in services now so that's what they're focusing on. It's where the market is at.

I’m waiting for the event to see if they get announced. If they do, I’ll buy/preorder them along with an Apple Watch band I want. If not, I’ll just get the current AirPods.

Has anyone ever had to replace their Apple Watch sports band that came with their watch? Just want to know how long I can expect it to last.
Have had my sports band since 2015. I wear the watch every day and I barely change it to the other bands. Very good quality.

No need to adapt if a company is innovative enough to create new market, like Apple always did with SJ

There is always a need to adapt. And innovate of course, and they have. New products will come, I have no doubt. But they also must adapt to changing market conditions. Those who do not cease to exist.

Sigh...the sad thing is I actually would be very interested in a news subscription service. Especially if it integrates multiple sources for a single monthly fee. I want to support journalism but I'd rather get my news from multiple sources and I can't afford subscriptions to everything.

But because it is apple their service always comes with hardware lock in. If you have a PC and especially an android phone you are screwed. If Google released a similar service I'd sign up in a heartbeat, but a service that I can only access on 2 out of 3 of my devices (and the odd one out being my phone) is a non-starter.

I'm interested in the news service (assuming it is a "news" service and not just a magazine service) and don't particularly care about streaming. I have enough streaming services I don't make the time to watch. Plus, it's my understanding this is going to be all family friendly affair. If I'm going to plunk down some cash, I'm going to need at least the level of adult content as Netflix or Prime.

If Apple really wants to make a push with services, they need to release it in the same way they did Apple Music. Make it multi-platform.

Does anyone else think this streaming service is going to be a colossal failure? What could they possibly do different that YouTube TV, or Netflix isn't doing? If they try to combine all of the stations like cable, it probably will not be any cheaper. The interface might be a little nicer, but I doubt Apple will be very competitive in the price. If it is like Netflix it'll be around $9.99. If it's like YouTube TV it'll be around $39.99. Something tells me they are making a Netflix clone which - who wants it? The state of TV in general is so abysmal - I know I don't want to subscribe to 10 different streaming services to check out ONE show that maybe halfway decent.

I'm expecting some great innovations unleashed from the pipeline.
The wait will be torture for all of us.... literally.

It definitely appears to be an event focused on the new streaming service... but I WANT it to be focused on the new Mac Pro! Mac Pro, historically, has been known as the filmmakers' Mac. So I think there's a chance!

Personally I see the current generation iPads Pros as the new Mac Pro.
