How about debuting something not expected ...........Mac Pro
And can they do it cross platform and still maintain user privacy?
Honestly the last thing I need is another streaming option unless I actually cut the cord and watching sports kinda prevents me from doing that. I'm definitely not paying $10 a month for news.
Major stars that include Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner, and Steve Carell, all of whom have roles in Apple shows, have been invited to attend the event.
Apple has almost 250+ billion dollars in cash lying with them..This 'entertainment' service plan will make it zero. Apples so called liberalism(everything is offensive and tight control on what you can say) and drama wont fit well...
BTW using Disney as an example is strange. Disney is aimed at kids; is that what Apple is going for?
No.Will Apple finally announce a good desktop computer that doesn't destroy your bank account?
The iPad mini 5, seventh-generation iPad, AirPower, updated AirPods, and a seventh-generation iPod touch are all in the works and will be coming soon, but none of these updates are major enough to warrant time on stage so it makes some sense for them to debut more quietly.
Great. Now we don’t have to endure it at wwdc!
WWDC is about developers, so media services don’t have place there. The fact that they aren’t saving the subscription news service for wwdc suggests that there’s going to be a lot to announce this june!
Like you, I don't have high expectations for the Apple TV service. I am interested in seeing what they have to offer but I doubt it will be anything I will be interested in subscribing to. However, i am more optimistic about the paid news service. I seem to be encountering a growing number of paywalls for news articles I am trying to read and I don't want to subscribe to a dozen or more sources for 1 or 2 articles per month from each. I am HOPING Apple will offer a good selection of high quality news sources at a reasonable price (compared to subscribing to a bunch of different sources individually). If they do, I will be among the first to subscribe. Can't wait to see them try to hype up a Netflix clone with a bunch of bland, politically correct, non offensive content and a news subscription hardly anyone is going to give a **** about because most people are not going to pay for the garbage that is journalism and news today.
I do not like this new "chasing after services" Apple. I want the Apple that regularly released amazing solid products that were worth the extra cost and acted amazingly together. As they chase more money through more and more subscription services it's getting absurd because they are trying to offer EVERYTHING and lock users in.

Yeah, it's called the Mac mini.
We tried that service when it started and had a ton of problems. Random frozen streams even though our house generally gets over 150 mbps down. When we unbundled Comcast Internet from cable the internet portion shot up to like $100.00. And that is metered—go over 2 TB’s and you’re paying extra. Cable plus internet turned out to be a wash with cable plus DirecTV Now. Damn cable companies.DirectvNOW. Live sports. Cut the cord.
I didn't initially intend to comment, but THIS was funny...
Yet news about TV shows and News app warrants time on stage??? ROFL
I'd love to see a poll of Apple customers... which do you care more about, Apple's TV show and News app plans, or next gen of the hardware you know and love?

Oh, great point. Way to look on the bright side!
People won’t think Apple’s streaming video service will be a success until they sign on Jenna Jameson & create their own P**nH*b competitor. /sAre Marvel movies for kids? Are Star Wars movies for kids? If when you think of Disney, you only think of Mickey Mouse, Toy Story and the Lion King, you need to update your knowledge.
The Disney model would work nicely for Apple. Plenty of excellent content that doesn’t have to get into brutal violence and sex scenes.
I wish for a new Apple TV to go along with this!

The new 'mojis will be magical.
