Apple September 7th Media Event [Updated]

What a lame release. First of all, this is an ugly phone. Second, Moto makes the worst phones on the market (maybe second only to LG). Third, Cingular is the worst cell provider on the planet. And only 100 songs... no ability to pop in flash cards??

I hope MacExpo has something decent in store.
 
so will the nano replace the mini? or be offered in addition to it?

I think they should keep the mini, maybe bump it up to 8 or 10GB and then add in the nano...

The iPod nano ships today in 2GB and 4GB confiugurations for US$199 and $249 respectively. Apple is also offering customized iPod nano accessories including a $29 dock, $39 lanyard with built-in headphones, color-coordinated armbands for $29 each, and "nanotubes" -- green, purple, blue and pink slipcases, sold in boxes of five, for $29 each.
 
A black ipod nano, eh? Is this a sign of things to come, black colored intel powerbooks?

He said it's a replacement. A drop in capacity, WTF?

There had better be a one more thing replacing the white iPod...

Actually, Motorola makes the best designed and most reliable phones on the market.
 
So the iPod mini is discontinued then?...... 2 & 4 Gb instead of the 4 & 6 in the mini and reduced battery life - 14hrs instead of 18hrs?

I thought the mini was already the perfect size... of course the fatter I get the less room I have in my pockets.

Just too bad about the capacities. Just doesn't make much sense to upgrade when my 4GB mini is already maxed and now I'd want to put photos on something like this. They should've at least had a 6GB model for $249 and bumped the 4GB to $229. I suppose the cost of flash might prohibit that.

I wonder if we'll see an update to the minis at MacExpo??

We his comments sacrilegious? Can an Apple user not dislike aspects of apple or their products. Does every disapproval have to be met with such contempt?

I am sure that the individual comment doesn't matter too much to apple, but any individual that dislikes the product is representative of a larget market. so yes apple does care.
 
Apple Store ONLINE NOW!

I just called the Store... they're accepting orders at 2:30 PM EDT and the online Store should be back up by then.

EDIT: It's actually online NOW... just placed my order for a white 4 GB nano!
 
presentation is over, so basically itunes5 , rokr phone, and ipod nano (with the discontinuation of the mini). nano is cool, otherwise what a waste of a special event :( (at least in my opinion)
 
OMG that is thin and gorgeous! Apple tops themselves again. Unbelievable. I'm ****ing impressed!1!! :eek:
