Can’t be any worse than my debit card. The silver on the numbers is rubbed off after a week or two and the strip gets scratched all to hell.

Honestly, mine will probably never get used. If I'm forced to swipe, I'm using a card that gets better rewards than 1% cash back.

It depends on the leather; whether it's colored and what the process used to treat it was. I've never had a problem with leather discoloring light-colored objects. And if you're not keeping your credit cards in a wallet that prevents it from touching your pants, you need a new wallet.
I wonder if anyone does still have those iPod socks lying around
