I'm pretty sure I could throw this thing on the freeway and it would still come out in better shape than my plastic cards after a few months of use. I won't be babying mine, sorry.

Great, now I can't wear my leather jeans or use my denim wallet.
I had a pair of suede boots that were ruined by dark blue jeans. I’ve heard though if you wash dark jeans with a half a cup of vinegar it sets the die and the jeans color shouldn’t bleed onto other stuff.

How do people find out that Apple publishes a new support document? Is there a tool that can notify me about new articles?
Well for a new product/service like this, I'm sure the Apple community is keeping a close eye on that section of their site anyway. Not to mention people whose business is to constantly be up on what Apple is doing, big and small, like MacRumors staffers.

But for long established products that have been out a long time, that I don't know. I'm sure there's all kinds of different monitoring plug-ins out there, where you can just enter a URL or maybe even just the relative path of a URL, and then be notified anytime it changes.

It's ultimately metal, it'll survive just like my Amazon Prime Visa and Amex Platypus.
It's not the card that needs protecting, but the white finish (not that I care anymore, since all the cards in my wallet are scratched up from inserting them into card readers anyway). The American Express Platinum is made in plain stainless steel, while the Apple Card not only has a coating, but one in white, which is already impossible to keep clean.

Like I said, it doesn't matter to me, but from a cosmetic standpoint, there are measures one can take to preserve the finish of the Apple Card.

A lot of complaints for something that we all knew would eventually show wear over time.

And you can request a replacement at no cost, a lot of banks don't do that

Dude, we’re living in a world where people need instructions on how to keep a $2 piece of metal clean (like it matters anyway!) That piece of metal is designed to encourage people to spend money they don’t have. People are going to point out the idiocy of it.

I swear to God society is sleepwalking.

People want instructions on how to clean their sneakers and sunglasses too. So what? I don’t see what’s the problem with wanting to keep your stuff clean... Even if it is “just a credit card”.

The real problem is someone even wanting to use the physical card at all. 1% cash back is nothing. I guarantee there will be people who have cards with better rewards but they’ll wanna pay with the physical to flex Lol.
