With this and the ridiculous MagSafe “feature” being the two headline features of the 12, I sure am glad I sat this year’s upgrade cycle out.
iPhone 12 was a departure or more like a re-introduction of iPhone 4 design language. I upgraded from a 11 and am glad as the rounded edges were slippery and at times with a slim case not much of an improvement. I like holding the iPhone 12 flat edges it’s comfortable enough for me not to give me palm fatigue.

The other improvements and new features were fluff tbh. I am not sure I will be upgrading to this years iPhone.

Wouldn’t every phone survive landing in that pile of dirt? It didn’t look like a very hard landing.
a pile of dog glitch would be more interesting
the look on her face, the wariness of her hesitant picking up the phone.
her try to convince some passerby dude to get her phone for her
her waiting for a rain storm.....

That great to hear! I loved the “feel” of the 4, whereas my XS is like holding a bar of soap.

Well at least it’s not as cringe as that one commercial when they launched broccoli, rubber ducks, and other soft things at the iPhone and touted its toughness 😅😅

That’s what I find strange is that this ad would be better fitting for iPhone 6 till iPhone 11 as the design language was a refinement and more prone to being slippery. iPhone 4 till 5S and iPhone 12 not so much.
