Love AM and don't have issues using it on my phone or iPad.

Watched the Ed Scheeran special on TV last night and download 2 albums, added to a playlist and made available offline. Not hard to do.

Sorry, Apple. Not until you make it a separate app. I was incredibly suspicious of combining my own music with this service even before Jim Dalrymple's troubles. That story certainly didn't help matters.

There's not a single good reason for the two to be merged.

Sure, besides being the only place you can have every single artist you like in one place. Everyone wants to have two separate apps for their music, said no one ever.

Yeah, Apple make an ad with Miley Cyrus and highlight all her ****s and pictures that she posts at Connect daily.

Why the hate? The UI is not really that confusing. Other than Beats 1 sucking, Apple Music blows Spotify any day.

Personally, I think they'd do well to remove the bottom buttons and use a side list and separate some stuff:

A Home section for all that curators crap, hot tracks, lists, etc...
Offline Music so it doesn't merge with your actual music
The New tab should only display bloody new and recent releases

After watching an ad with James Bay I don't know what they're highlighting here. Guys on the streets sing and play better than that... If they wanted to show some new talent then they didn't succeed.

Apple is soon going to destroy Spotify by Apple music, destroy Flipboard by News app. I don't know what else they are up to.....

You have no facts to back up your statement about Apple destroying any other competitor . facts versus emotions will get you know where in the tech industry

Software should just be about ease of use and not about being a genius to use it. . . . . .

Now that Apple is at the top, its employee's ideas are expected to just be accepted, regardless of how good or bad they are. How dare you question the almighty Apple. BTW access to your own music does not make Apple any money, so that functionality will be in the hardest, most difficult place to find, if you can find it at all.

I don't know if people here will start insulting me but I guess I'm the only one that really likes apple music and iTunes, I don't find it cumbersome at all, actually it's very intuitive. I had Spotify before but I never really used it as I found it too complicated, with Apple music I already have lots of playlists, new albums and artists plus I love the radio stations, specially Beats 1. Of course I talk only about my experience so I apologise if you find my comment wrong or offensive.

I think it's okay for starters (not horrendous, as some people are suggesting), but it definitely needs some polishing and streamlining. Also, I think it would look a lot better with a dark theme.

Those ads seem very American, I wonder if there will be country specific ones.
Not that I intend to use apple music, call me old fashioned but I still love having a psyical album.
And yes the iTunes UI is blooming awful!!

Oh what a shock! What I read from the comments are whinging whinging whinging... :D

I love Apple Music and have no trouble using iTunes. I guess I am just one of those who are actually pretty smart, you know. Just saying :D
And they say apple fans are snobbish!

To be fair, its difficult to keep that simple - it mixes your library, the streaming aspect, lets you mix stuff from AM with your existing library, you want to create playlists, you might want to buy something from iTunes, you might want to find new stuff, or curated playlists, you might want to listen to Beats 1, or one of the genre basic stations, or start a station based on song or artist, you might want to favourite something, or view your music by artist, song or album, or shuffle music by album, artist or even entire library....

Basically a lot of stuff. Is it perfect? Probably not. Is it mostly fairly logical once you spend a little time getting familiar with it? Probably.

I think the Music app on the phone is looking a lot better - a lot of the artist pages have pretty decent artwork now, and I like the way its coloured based on the image - works a lot better than it does in iTunes.

If anything really needs some work its the radio pages in iTunes.

"All the artists you love and are about to love. All in one place."

They are doing everything the can to avoid calling it a "Love in."

The ghost of Steve Jobs is materializing at the amphitheater inside The Loop bitching out the Apple Music business plan and execution every full moon. He'd have heads rolling by now over how this roll-out went.

That's the crux of it for my family, too. We love Spotify but the lack of family plan is a problem. Currently only one of us can use it at a time. So my husband wants to go with Apple who does offer a family plan. But I prefer Spotify as I already have my playlists set up on it and don't want to change.

My complaint with both services is that I can't find some foreign artists I like. They have L'arc~en~Ciel, which is a nice surprise, but not older J-pop artists that are still big names in Japan. I'd like a bigger international library.

We currently use Spotify's family plan -- full price for the main account and half off for everyone else (with their own, separate Spotify accounts) linked to it.

Stats show app users don't engage with hamburger menus as much...

Ooh I like this. Someone needs to send it to Trent Reznor and Jimmy Iovine.

And overwhelming.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple Music leads to a resurgence in CD sales: You stick a CD on and it just plays.

With Music, Apple's forgotten how to make things simple. They need to start firing some people.
Hmm...it's worked fine for me so far. But I knew exactly what I was looking for. I do think Apple Music is a case of marketing driving the product and certainly design by committee. Just throw in any and every possible feature. I feel bad for the UI designers that have to incorporate it all into one app/service.

Here after every product will be designed by committee. Tim has no insight into the product development. Steve jobs used to make things right and now that won't happen!
