Noticed this at the end

[doublepost=1458188635][/doublepost]I got a Twitter follow request from the voice of Siri herself :)

The only issue I have with the ad is that when I watch it on my iPhone is automatically activates Siri and then rest is garbled. It's funny because there's quite a number of times when I might be watching netflix or other media on my iPhone with no head phones and Siri will activate randomly. (Yes I know I can turn it off)

Siri does respond that fast if you have a good internet connection (especially upstream bandwidth) and siri does understand that accent.

I tried it on my phone, obviously cookie monster's "hey siri" won't activate it since Siri is tuned to listen for my voice, but if I manually activate Siri before playing the video and pause before siri starts responding, she understood perfectly and set a 14 minute timer.

I believe they were going to use Elmo, but you know, that whole "tickle me " thing ;);)

Yeah is no one noticing this? I feel like that should garner a little bit more attention...

It's a play on a Sesame Street thing for the letter and number of the day. Plus the fact the iPhone 6s (and 6s plus) are the only iPhones to bring the hands free "Hey Siri" due to the always on M9 coprocessor. It's only possible while plugged in for older generation iPhones.

"Hey Siri, whats 0 divided by 0?" - Cookie Monster

"How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies. And you are sad that you have no friends." - Siri

Part of me thought that they would do something like that in the ad. Maybe that would have been too mean?

Why would that video trigger siri on my side even though my iphone isn't plugged in ??

Cool "NEW FEATURE" Apple!(Sarcasm) I wonder how much money they spent on this ad. Meanwhile, Samsung S7 ads are looking pretty damn awesome.

Please someone test this.

Record off this add the Cookie Monster speaking to his iPhone, and then play it back to your iPhone to see if the iPhone recognizes the voice ok.

Hope it does :)

I will admit, I wish these voice assistant AI's were more clever.

Example:

"Hey Siri, set timer for my cookies for 15 mins."

"Ok timer set for 15 mins."

"Hey siri, how long before the cookies are done?"

"The cookies will be ready in another 6 minutes"

THAT level of understanding would be nice.
It would need to understand what a cookie is, and that you are cooking them in an oven, and when you ask again about the cookies it makes the link and understands you are asking about the remaining time on them.

Is this not possible in 2016?

The ad is funny, but Siri's been on iPhone for a while. Although Hey Siri without cord works only on the 6s they should focus on the new camera, live photos and the 3D touch.

They have done commercials on both Live Photos and 3D Touch. The most recent one being the 3D Touch focused commercial that has Aubrey Plaza "peeking her flight".

Total hands free "Hey Siri" is a new feature to the 6s (6s+) which is why it has a commercial focusing on it.

Booooo! Give us real features Apple! Are we marketing to kids now using sesame street? Pathetic. How about giving us features like better battery life, HD OLED screens, SD card slot and water proof the damn phone already!

Do you guys really like these "features?" Im hoping Apple does something a little more impressive than this to keep up with the competition.

Sure, and as I said the ad is funny but you see the phone for only a small amount of time.
I find more compelling the ads showing more features of a product, but I'm not working on marketing and maybe a funny ad is more important than an exhaustive one.

I actually spend lot of time cooking with my wife and honestly I don't find "hey siri" to be useful. I sometimes use it to set a timer, but when we are cooking we look at the iPad with the recipe and we need to scroll on the screen with our dirty hands.
Siri needs to be integrated with third party apps, I want to be able to talk to a recipe app and say "tell me the next step", or "how much milk do I need to use now?". That would be extremely handy, I just hope iOS 10 will be the first step in that direction
