These ads don't really get me...

asking "siri" how do I look ? don't u know ?

I know Apple's trying, but can they try harder ? Pointless. but u just know everyone will now ask siri this only because they've just seen an ad telling them to. *roll eyes*

I'm living in a world run by maniacs.

I think you need to lighten up. It's really all in fun. You're taking it too seriously. Jamie Foxx really sold the ad for them, it doesn't matter what he asks Siri.

Interestingly enough, Jamie foxx activated my Siri in the flip a coin video.

I've moved over to a Samsung 6 Edge after realising Apple just aren't the market leaders any more. These adverts have just confirmed that. And the worrying thing is that I don't miss the iPhone. Having said that. It's only just now that Samsung has caught up and overtaken Apple for features and performance and style. But even Samsung will have to be careful if the iPhone 7 can cough up better stuff than was rehashed for the 6S this year. The iMac and iPad stay for now. But if this is how far we have come since Jobs era .... :-(

doesn't hey siri require iPhone to be connected to power to work?
Not with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. It's always on by default because of the new M9 processor.

Btw. I like the new ads. I know Eddy Cue liked or suggested the last one with Stephen Curry.

O god, how can apple Advertise siri when it isn't up to par and needs significant improvements. I wish Tim makes a commercial where he says.. yes google now is way better, and now it can be be set as default!

Android operating isn't perfect, but it is advancing faster and farther than IOS, which is a shame. I think in time Microsoft and or others will replace that imac or Ipad of yours. Tim won't destroy Apple, but he is pulling a Ballmer.

Tim really needs to go!

I love these ads, they inspire me to reach my goals, I haven't got any but if I did these ads would be my go to. I used to drink around a gallon of Koolaid per day, now I just watch these ads to get as high as a kite. Love you Apple, drool.

I wish having an iPhone would allow me to go to all the beautiful places where they take pictures and videos in the ads :(

Also I like these ads a lot. Anybody know who does the voice over? c:
Spend less money on Apple products, take a cool vacation instead.
I will now go and take my own advise.;)

I get no pleasure in saying I fully agree with you, ST. I was going to go for the 6S but after seeing and using the S6Edge I realised that actually the bogey man stories of Samsung phones is just that ... made up. Although - it's only in 2015 that Samsung went for quality build and OS ergonomics - previous stuff was too clunky and menu-heavy. IOS started life as the antithesis to that.

Now IOS has ironically become heavy and clunky. The reason I moved TO Apple stuff. Its by no means been an easy transition but the superior camera/software, ease of use and style win me over every time I use it now. Samsung were certainly guilty of plagiarism of their rivals' ideas and products. Now that Apple has taken its eye off the ball for the past two years, they've taken advantage of this and moved into the overtaking lane.

Too many Cooks (sic) spoiling the broth and laurel resting could be a lot of the problem but it's too late to start looking back. Apple needs to rethink why they got where they are. And it wasn't through making Wacom style styluses (Pencil), Turing-test talk-bots (Siri), iPhones on steroids (the iPad Pro) or for that matter iPhones shrunk to pocket size (the Apple Watch) then having the nerve to reinvent them all as something revolutionary. Again.

Let's hope 2016 is the year Apple stopped renovating the old stuff and starte innovating the new stuff.

Yeah baby!

Why does Apple spend money on ads for iPhone when, year-after-year, they say they have record sales and can't keep them in stock? Do they really think people need an advertisement to sell them on buying an iPhone? Seems it sells itself.

I'm definitely loving the ads Apple publishes lately. Much more straight to the point than ever before. Just how it is supposed to be. And as expected, no comparisons with the competition. Samsung can really learn from this.

Hope Apple keeps doing it this way. Not that I didn't like the ads from last year (actually they were pretty fun), but the iPhone 6s ads are both fun and straight to the point, while keeping it short (except for the ones showing 3D Touch and the new camera features). :)

You gotta use stars like Foxx to promote Siri, especially with simple answers.

But in the trenches, Siri could make one toss the phone out the window.

I asked mine, dial La Bottega Long Beach. (That’s a restaurant written in my contacts database). Siri responds with “Call <unintelligible name> home or cell?” Twice I tried and it was an immediate fail.

A prior one was where I had entered C & L Plumbing into contacts, with express interest in having Siri chart to course to the place. You can only imagine how off and crazy were the responses.

Both times I’m driving, and depending upon Siri is more trouble than it was worth and I’d say downright dangerous if a person decides to drive and stay at trying to get Siri to respond the way you’d expect.

No idea what you're talking about. I use Siri routinely, multiple times a day and get clear results and it understands about 99% of what I say.

And whether Siri responds well or not is irrelevant to driving. Nobody should be screwing around with their phone behind the wheel unless they're parked.

I've actually started using Siri again thanks to Hey Siri. It totally transforms it. Ok it still doesn't fully understand what I'm saying half the time but it definitely makes it a whole lot more useful.

Re those ads I don't get why they needed to change a winning formula. The slick fast paced ads with no voiceover worked well for many years. These look and sound like Samsung ads.
