Out of curiosity, just how much of 4K video will you be able to take on base 16Gb model straight out of the box?

The really cheeky answer is none as it's disabled out of the box.

Joking aside, I've got a few friends with the 6s, regular folk who don't visit tech blogs, I've asked to check their phones and on every one it is still disabled (because they don' know, not because they don't want it). Would be interesting to see what percentage have enabled the feature.

Ha ha. Yeah. I love(d) that story too.

Until I actually used one. And found the superior camera. 360°panoramas,pausable video, superior voice recognition, built in IR TV remote and pulse oximeter. All stuff I didn't even know was standard BEFORE I switched. And I'm still discovering stuff daily. And double (128gb) the memory and a third less cost? Loyalty has to be justified. And IOS is tired and baggy now. Each update doesnt excite any more. FaceTime was revolutionary. Imessage similarly so. Ideas are now thin on the ground and stuff like Force Touch complicates usability. Not simplifies. And that was the straw that broke the camels back for me. My iPhone using mates are still.iPhone using mates. When they see my rival phone they're very impressed. But won't ditch for fear of the unknown. I can't blame them. But even they will switch if Samsung et al continue to improve next year as they have done in 2015. It'll be an interesting twelve months for all.concerned.

You're so wrong my nose is bleeding.

It looks like the iPhone sales are slowing. I've never seen such a lot of ads on TV at least in my country. Tomorrow we'll see how it's going but it smells a lot like 2012 again. The 6s looks like a flop in terms of comparison.

Briefly casting our gaze over the video thumbnails without an inkling of desire to watch them, it appears that Apple's latest greed is to fleece more loot from the so-called nig-nog community.

I watched the "Hey, Siri" ads and decided to try the flip a coin thing. The first time I did it, Siri said, "It's...oops, it fell in a crack." The second time I did it, Siri thought I said "Flip a corn" and said it didn't understand. The third time I did it, Siri thought I said, "Flip a queen" and said it didn't understand. I guess today's just not my day.

Ever since Hey Siri changed to voice recognition to activate, it works for me maybe 20% of the time now. Very annoying.
Try resetting it up, first time I did it there was some background noise. I redid in at home when no one was around, works much better now.

Just like apple copies all the time. The Live Photos have been around for years on Lumias.

The tiny amount of opposite examples cannot defeat the fact that the number and scale of Apple's original designs being copied are way larger.

4k video recording!

'Specially for 16GB iPhone users.

Siri-ously, I fear that advertising Siri is not advisable these days, considering its poor reputation compared to Google's effort. My humble advice to Apple: give up on voice; it's not worth it.

Still, if Apple can increase on its growth of 40% from last year with these ads, then all well and good. We'll know on Tuesday at the earnings call, then more fully in January.

Give up? What an insanely ridiculous thing to say.

You are aware that they are currently working on an AI to crush Google Now with, right?

The problem with 'hey siri' is that it requires it to be charging for use. I understand why (conserving battery power) but with the large capacity of the 6 Plus, I only charge at night, which means the only time I'd be using 'hey Siri' would be while I'm asleep, which doesn't make much sense. During the day I'm always on the go and never plug into a charger, often times not even having access to one, so I never use the feature much.

Flip a coin is a similar fifteen-second spot that demonstrates hands-free Siri on iPhone 6s. Foxx is holding two movie scripts in his hand, contemplating which one to choose, before ultimately saying "Hey Siri flip a coin."

Hey Siri, flip a coin:
Oops … it fell in a crack

(sorry, forgot to take a screen shot)
