Great ads - keep everything in motion, keep moving and whatever you do, don't allow a shot of the face with those two things dangling out of the ears for longer than 0.2 seconds.

Well, in terms of the product, I think it they are good. To be a no-brainier purchase, they would have to have double the battery life and be over half the price.

But in terms of the ads, they simply don't want to make someone buy them. I'm sick of all the praise for Apples 'beautiful and amazing' ads. They might be, but it doesn't mean they are effective. Some manage to be, and they're excellent. But Apples marketing tone changed in 2013.

You mean don't make you want to buy them?

The ads seem slick enough, and convey at least a couple of important things that someone considering a purchase would likely thing important:

1. Ridiculously simple to set up.
2. Look like they stay in the ears pretty well.

Admittedly the latter could easily be taken with a pinch of salt.

I'd be interested to try them, but I'm not sure earphones are the sorts of things you can usually try out to see if they stay in the ear or not.

But if they were light enough and stayed in place well, and sounded reasonable, then I'd be tempted.

Saw this ad during the Seahawks game at a bar. Was there with my girlfriend and another couple. All of us were silent and transfixed on the TV during the ad. I think it is super effective and really reminiscent of the silhouette ads the iPod was originally marketed with.

I can leave my Airpods in my ears for hours on end (even when I am not listening to anything) and not feel a thing. No pain, no discomfort, nothing.

I am increasingly convinced that the Airpods are the earphones for me. Light, comfortable, ultra-portable, long battery life, ease of pairing and switching. The best sound quality in a pair of headphones is moot if they are a pain to use and carry around.

Good for you!

But still, not so good for lexususer...

Love my airpods.. have had them for about a week now. No issues with charging, they don't fall out, unless I really try to make them. Connections are great, sound quality is pretty good, and calls are decent.

My only complaint, just like the earpods always have, that after about 30 min of wearing them, they hurt my ears... something about the way they are shaped, or the hard plastic, just hurts the inside of my ears.

I've been trying to ignore it, hoping that maybe i'll get used to it, because the airpods are so convenient, I really like how I can make calls/listen to music using just one of them while i'm at work, and just switch them out when i need to charge them. I like the case, its light and charges pretty fast, using siri isn't as awkward as I thought it was going to be. There are a lot of co workers of mine that use dictation to send text messages already so its not like im the only one talking out loud here.

Maybe ill get used to the pain, its one small gripe.. and before, i would just use different headphones so maybe Im just not used to it yet.
