Still horse pucky. And brainwashing - the theme of "reclaiming national pride" will be "infused" with a cloaked set of social messages aimed at deriding our country. The show will criticize the very attributes of America that enabled the success of Apollo 11 - how very stupid.
We'll see about that. The trailers I watched had a sense of "we lost the battle, but the war is not over" kinda feel. I can sympathize with the disappointing notions of our nation as a whole having a patriotism problem, but I think it would be overly cynical to judge a show before you've seen it.

We pretty much have to pre-judge everything we might watch, because otherwise we'd spend 100 hours a day watching potentially good shows. If we don't rely on ads, reviews, ratings, recommendations from friends, automated "if you liked this, you might like that" suggestions, and a bit of gut instinct, how would we choose what's worth watching?

If you read within the context of what I was saying, he was pre-judging that there would be social-justice themes and country self-loathing in a show which based on the premise, seems like anything but. Of course we have to judge a show by previews and summaries before we watch them, but I think to immediately assume the undertones of a show we know relatively little about the actual content of, would be unfair.

Granted, this is Apple we are talking about. They probably want to appeal to as broad an audience as possible to be as inclusive as possible. I think loathing the country that made Apple possible within their own content, as a general undertone, would not line up with their company values.

I see what you mean.

It's been a similar challenge for Disney, each time they acquire another media company.

This nation has a patriotism problem because people are brainwashed into believing we didn't deserve to win the moon race in the first place. This is the "fertile soil" in which the false pretense of loosing the race to the moon will be planted.
Winning the "future" will be wrapped in a theme of "national redemption" through the performance of politically correct "penance", which will include deriding our national history specifically in regards to demographics.

As they say: "This material writes itself".

I'm judging the show based on this alone.
