If they stop offering LCD screens, I may have to switch to Android.

Are there any other phone OS's?

"How do I use the 10x Telephoto Lens or take moon shots?"

"Uhhhh...gotta go!"
10x telephoto? How far do you stand from your subject? A kilometer?
If you care so much about zoom and photo quality, get a DSLR, not an Android phone😂

Also, how often do you take photos of the moon? Lol.
Last I heard Google had far higher quality satelite photos than your peasant Android phone camera could ever imagine. Click > download.

Heres a 209-Megapixel moon photo taken from an Astrophotographer.

Apple is designed to be secure?

if you belive in that steamy pile, like Volvo is safer than othet cars
Show me a more secure client OS, I'll wait. BTW, Volvo IS safer than other cars. These are the people who invented the crossover seatbelt you still use today. Their cars are literally curtained with airbags and use software to minimize impact to occupants and pedestrians. Their company GOALS are focused on safety.

With all of this in mind, I get the impression you never actually dig into your disbeliefs, just take them at face value and comment.

Someone should ask them "can I sideload third party apps like on my Android?" See the Apple employees freeze up in panic.
They just would say, "I'm not actually sure." That's what they said when I asked them if Airpods could be shared across multiple devices and family sharing.

Did you guys see how bad the reviews are for the Android migration App? What a horrible first impression to make on Android switchers. :( Surely if Apple is going to focus on making anything work right, it should be that.

The iPhone is not as flawless as Apple thinks it is. Samsung makes some good devices now and as someone that uses both.....I think innovation is more on the Android side today. Apple puts in features Android had years prior and pretends they invented it. My Galaxy watch is 100% more reliable than either the AW7 or 3 I have owned. The iPhone has not really evolved much over the last few years. One thing is for sure they need to get a foldable out cause I am not going back to a slab for my non-work phone. Is Android perfect....no...but nor is iPhone. The Android market moves the tech forward and Apple just plays catch up for the most part. They have the resources and money to be at the forefornt but they would rather milk everyone on the same tired tech for a decade.

Apple doesn't innovate anymore. They don't need to, unfortunately. And they will continue to avoid risky business decisions until they are forced to do so by their shareholders. In other words, as long as Apple continues making bank, they aren't going to do anything that is in the slightest bit risky, and true innovation is risky. They will just wait and see what other vendors do, and then improve upon what they see is working in the industry.

Expect nothing "new" from Apple. Apple Car? Tesla. VR headset? Oculus (among others). Apple Watch? Samsung Galaxy Gear (among others. A whopping 2+ years before Apple Watch was released). The list could go on and on.

Don't get me wrong. Apple is a great company...to invest in. Because you have to realize their real stock value is in how careful they are in making business decisions. They are masters of refining existing tech. But innovators, they are not.

LOL I own an iPhone. My point is that Samsung and Google have some pretty awesome features that we don't have on iOS.

Honestly speaking. Can you please give us some examples where your Apple watch was unreliable? I would agree that both Apple and Galaxy watches are reliable, but for you to claim "MORE reliable", is complete bs and you know it. I have never seen nor heard of an Apple watch being unreliable, so you really should try to elaborate a bit more to help us all understand, clearly you are the expert on the subject so I am lucky I came across this comment so that I can ask to learn more. Thanks for your time replying.
One example is Vo2 max numbers will disappear for weeks and the only option is factory reset. Then the GPS randomly doesn't record the routes. Music on the Apple Watch will drop or skip. Bluetooth to non-Apple devices will drop randomly for no reason. The cellular connection is never active when it should be on both AW3 or 7. The AW has just been a mess over the years in my use. The GW has not had these issues yet.

But I know you won't listen, applogize to Tim Cook for me, and continue to worship Apple. Critisism of Apple products seem like breaking a holly commandment around here. God forbid another product might be GASP better!

GW has had its own issues. They put out FOUR of them in the single year before AW came along...every customer was an alpha tester until they just started giving them away with a phone purchase.

But I too have issues with AW, it's definitely not a solid product. However, your assumption that people who disagree with you are doing it out of Apple worship is ridiculous. You're claiming something is better, to a bunch of people who are Apple aficionados. It's one thing to discuss things in a non-biased, straight forward way. It's another to say, "THIS SUCKS, MINE IS BETTER!".

Secure? Yeah ok. Tell that to iPhone users in Brazil who lost their savings for thieves.

iPhones will be secure when Apple implement something like "secure folder" from some Android phones.

And when Apple sells iPhones with things like: the need to type a passcode to turn the iPhone off by default. And have an alphanumeric passcode (my wife's iPhone can be unlocked with a 4 digit code...)... and, ask for password by default (and not making the user have to set it) to change FaceID. And asking for a passcode to turn off things like switching data on or off, wifi and so on.

And maybe a "SOS mode".

Until then, this "secure" thing is just BS and marketing.

There is no such thing as non-biased opinions in reality. Everyone leans to some direction, that is just human nature. In my opinion the AW is not as fantastic as everyone pretends it is. Nor is the iPhone. It seems that people assume the Apple logo = top quality....that just isn't the case anymore. Build and hardware might be, software is not. Apple needs to work on it's software in a lot of places to earn the reputation that everyone just pretends it has.

I'm not a WhatsApp user because Facebook, but it's pretty huge for some people. I was migrating some relatives over to iPhone who had lots of years of history here, and this was nearly a deal breaker.

WhatsApp itself CANNOT DO IT - your message history is all stored on your device. The only way to do it is with dodgy 3rd party software which started installing viruses on my desktop as well.

So yeah, anyway, think about the apps you care about and research them.
They just released an update that officially migrates all you chats to iOS.

Lots of people posting their salt here today. "But but no browser engines" . "but but but no dolphin emulator". "but but but its definitely not secure"

Okay then fine, simply dont buy the iphone. Sorry the advertisement did such a good job catching your attention. Stop wasting everyones time being a cringy whiny salt bath. Apple never declared they were going to make everyone happy, if you are one of those who wont be happy then dont switch.
The world is full of people who consider a lack of side-loading irrelevant.

The minority who need that can buy Android.
Luckily for us your argument won't make sense once the DMA/DSA finally kicks in and we'll be able to access browser engines and emulators.
Besides, I don't think you buy the first phone you see in the first electronics store you stumble upon. You'll probably consider pros and cons, and if the pros of iPhone outweigh the cons, why shouldn't you buy iPhone?

There's also "Nothing Phone 1" on the market now. No problems, LOL.

Because it's totally the same thing, right?

Yes you can install scam on your android.
So can you on iOS, what's the point? Also your response is irrelevant to the question.

Funny, I was at a friends house, he just got Galaxy ultra 2022, my iPhone 11 was working faster and better, side by side.

On the same wifi network, his Spotify kept pausing and crashing, YouTube 4k was stuttering.

My 2019 phone, works better them the top offering from Samsung.

I use my Apple Watch exclusively, for payments. I leave my wallet at home.
He gave up trying to use his galaxy watch for payments, because of reliability.

The iPhone just works.
So does the Apple watch.

It's a constant game of leapfrogging functions and features.
I'm definitely content on iPhone, but better camera zoom on the Pro would be ideal. 10x Optical would have been amazing during my son's soccer this summer. And great for concerts where you're not close.

And then Google Pixel's ability to auto identify music playing is such an underrated feature. Two things that Apple could explore but chooses not to.

What makes a "secure folder" on an Android phone? The entire iPhone is encrypted. A secure folder beyond that can be had with a ton of apps. Any mobile device management solution can enable all of the rest that you ask for, which is why iPhones are preferred in enterprise security situations.

Also, that was a single user in Brazil, not plural.

Non-biased discussion is not the same as non-biased opinion. I agree with you on the software...usually until I use a competitor's products and realize it can be a hell of a lot worse.
