Actually I really think someone like dateline type program is making a documentary show on iPhone or broader (smart phones) and they wanted to film Apple as the key role. Just a thought that I think could be very valid. Or even the computer experience comparing MAC to PC. Hopefully whatever it is we get to see an end product like a commercial or presentation, etc.

It'd be interesting to find out more specifics from those people who found out that it the shooting was in fact for a commercial.

Personally, I think logically it makes sense that it's a commercial. Especially considering the logical explanation behind the 4+5 black boxes. For anyone who missed it, they are probably boxes owned by the commercial production company Anonymous Content.

Maybe there is a Quicktime trailer that we have thus far overlooked....

oh well, I didn't see anyone else bring all that up lol. That was a while back but it doesn't really feel like it was that long ago to me.

I really really wish that Disney + Pixar got together and started producing apple commercials...I could totally see Wall-E sporting an iPod. :apple:

So I was in the area earlier today so I passed by the Apple Store. Right when I was walking by, I saw a large group of young women, all wearing similar looking pink dresses, walking down 5th avenue and eventually in to the Apple Store. Do you think they could have anything to do with the commercial?

I just thought it was interesting because there were so many of them. I didn't have time to stop and see or ask what they were about.

I think I read something about that...the film Wall-E reminds me of Apple somehow...it has that esque feel to it...I wonder what suprises we will see. Whenever the credits roll on those films, Steve Jobs is the first person they give thanks too.

I kinda want to see Wall E because it is kinda cute.... I know that sounds really gay but I like that little robot dude, he is pretty cool. he dances and even does the robot... who would have guessed!?!
I love Apple porn, keep it coming.:p

What the hell ?

Reading this kind of post really got my buying desire ignited....
Can't wait until WWDC~~!

is it me, or does apple not actually own the sidewalk? if not, id tell them to let me by, its tax payer owned. :)

They have a film permit. The permit probably allows them to close the sidewalk outside of the location. As the city is paid for the permit, and the city owns the sidewalk, they can grant the permission to close it. That's how streets can be closed for filming as well.

Wall-E looks incredible, that is a must see midnight showing on my iCal!

Did anyone actually catch the film The Pixar Story? it was made the end of last year, and it was showed on Starz last month, Steve Jobs was in it, actually a lot of the film, he refers to Pixar as his baby that is growing to Infinity and Beyond.

Could the 3G and the Apple Store "cube" have anything to do with the commercial?

Do we have anyone there that will stay all night to watch the making?

Also, one more idea I had. Since they are shooting at night. I bet the new iPhone is released at midnight? And the commercial is 100s of people walking up the stairs with the new iPhone talking on it?

THIS JUST IN...they are doing another TRUTH commercial against the tobacco companies...their slogan this time is...Don't smoke the pod.

jk...the night shooting and the cube representing 3...for some reason reminded me of the NYC Truth commercials they do.

Isn't this a near mirror of my post a page or two back?
