This is evidence again that Apple picked the right base storage size. They had 16GB as the base for the iPads, people complained wanting 32GB to be the base. Apple picked 32GB for the Pro, and people complaining want 64. In both cases, the complaints didn't stop people from buying them. The real question, is why Apple released the 32gb in the first place... Base model storage should have been 64gb, but that would have eaten into sales of the 128gb model.
20-odd gig of space on a "pro" device... Sigh.

Thank you for proving my point. For this model, however, it should have been 64gb.
Yes, but the Surface Pro uses Windows 10, which takes up at least 12 gigs of storage off the top, versus the apparent 6 gigs that iOS takes up on the iPad Pro. Add to that, Windows apps tend to take up much more storage space that iOS apps. Therefore, 128 GB on a Surface Pro (or any other Windows laptop, since people tend to use the Surface Pro more like a laptop than a tablet) is NOT the same as 128 GB on an iPad.32GB should be base storage for a phone but for a Prosumer device that's marketed as being able to edit 4K videos it's a lame joke especially without SD card slot. It should have 128GB base like the same priced Surface Pro 4 that also has SD card slot that can take 200+ GB cards.

Ummm.... That's the problem. Windows has fully featured apps that aren't optimized for the environment in which you are working.Counter argument is Windows OS and software are full featured compared to limited blown up phone OS and apps. Even then disk usage taken by software or apps is relatively small compared to data, media, etc. files whose size are independent of OS.
And if you did. Why complain. But why on earth did you go with the 32g then?
Yes yes. LolBecause the were forced to buy something that they didn't want. Ever hear of Apple's reality distortion ray gun? Apple zapped 'em with it.
Here's what it looks like:

I have a 64GB iPad Air 2 and I use about 9gb on it so the 32GB iPad Pro would work just fine. It depends on your usage. Apple shouldn't do something just because their cheapest option doesn't suit your usage scenario. That's why there are options.

Their cheapest option isn't really all that cheap, though, is it. Add a case and a pencil and you're looking at $1000. Add a warranty and you'll be spending even more.
I agree that if one chooses the 32gb model knowing it's probably not going to have enough space for their needs, they have only themselves to blame. But Apple shouldn't be selling a 32gb base for this product if the only other option is 128. The base should have been 64.
The good news is iPads tend to drop in price relatively quickly. In a couple months you'll probably be able to find some 128gb models for 850
I have the same but use about 30GB. However I think that a lot of that is
useless junk that could easily be ditched.
Apple make a 32GB pro so they obviously think there is a market fior it.
They are not stupid, I'm sure they know us better than we think!
Actually, it's NOT because there's a market for it but because it makes the 128GB more appealing. This is why Apple continues to keep the base storage capacity of other iPads at 16GB... it allows them to keep a low advertised price while making the "effective" price for many $100-$200 higher.I have the same but use about 30GB.
