Great, another show for him to ruin the final season of with pseudo-religious crap.
The "god did it" finale annoyed me too, but to be fair, the original BSG concept was somewhat influenced by the Book of Mormon...
SciFi Shows I miss are BSG, Caprica, Farscape and Firefly sadly we SyFylus where people enjoy garbage like todays politics.
Well, things are looking up at the moment: The Expanse is pretty good (the second season was better than the first) and Star Trek - Discovery is probably more appealing to BSG fans than hardcore Trekkies. Haven't seen The Orville but people seem to like it... Altered Carbon starts in February and seems to show great promise... Plus, although its day=after-tomorrow social commentary and not "space opera", Black mirror is probably the best "serious" SF to grace our screens since forever...
Are you seriously saying that YOU THINK the people who debug the software were pulled to work on a TV show?!?!?!?
Sure, that's a silly notion.
However, there is a concern about senior management: if Apple is going to diversify then they need to make sure that each sub-division - Macs, Mobile, Services, Entertainment, Automotive, Estates* - has strong, semi-autonomous leadership that doesn't get messed around by alternating neglect and micro-management by top execs trying to keep a foot in every pie. E.g. at the moment, there's a danger that the Mac business might be seen as the poor cousin to the much larger mobile business instead of, what it is (the third largest PC manufacturer? Biggest retail PC business? Something like that).
* Pretty clear that the top brass regarded the new campus as something more than a way of keeping the rain off their worker's desks...
