There could be more than one facility at play in Shanghai. One that was warehousing everything until there was capacity at the airport? Or any other scenario along those lines.
Mines been sitting in Hong Kong airport for 3 days. If it is in the air for Alaska UPS hasn’t updated it. Though I was told by a UPS rep. I’d get no new tracking until it hits Alaska. Yet I see some other buyers somehow get the flight their Apple computer is on???

Chiming in here to add another data point.

MBP, 16gb/1tb. Ordered 11/22. Delivery 12/10 - 12/17. Still in Processing.

We're guessing based on departure scans.

I see. Good to know. But the UPS spokesperson I queried seemed to indicate I would only get an Anchorage arrival scan. Makes me wonder if she knew what she what talking about? Oh well. I will take solace too that I am not alone.

That's awesome. I have the same order on 11/15 with a 12/2-12/9 delivery window. Order stuck on processing as of now and cc has not been charged. How long before the update did they charge your order?
Can’t be much of a time difference as I refresh 1,000 times/day. I checked Apple first, saw the update and then checked my card and it was charged.

Folks, would love to hear some opinions on whether this is truly maddening or just typical of a high-demand order...

Placed my order for a 13-inch MBP, 16GB, 2TB Space Gray on November 11. The delivery window has been Nov. 27-Dec. 4 since that day, but I haven't moved past "processing." Talked with Apple Support a few days back and they couldn't provide any further details... shall we take bets on whether this thing even ships by tomorrow (the final day of my delivery window)? CC still not charged either.

Ethan, I’m in the same exact boat as you except with the 1TB model. Same exact delivery window. Same non-helpfulness from Apple reps. I keep my entry current on the Google Sheet. You should too.

I can confirm here in Midwest United States they doing next day delivery for the basic MBA my family members shipped today delivers tomorrow. Mine still processing and I ordered the same one but few days later.

Where are you located, out of curiosity? I’m in Atlanta but it’s being shipped to Delaware since I’ll be visiting my family in South Jersey during my delivery window.
And conveniently Delaware has no sales tax!

I ordered my MacBook Air 16gb/1tb on November 10th.

FEDEX tracking showed a delivery date of Dec 7th, but the online tracking showed delivery today on Dec 3rd.

Went for a short walk and saw the FEDEX van go by about 2 PM, as I was a block away from my rural home. I immediately turned around and went home, but no package on the porch and no notice of attempted delivery.

Stayed inside the rest of the day, and checked the delivery status about 4:25, and it showed that my MBA was delivered at 4:10. WHAT! I was in my living room where I could see the driveway, and no vehicle appeared during the afternoon after I returned from my walk.

Went outside, and no package. Went to the closest neighbor, and no package. Called FEDEX and they showed the package was delivered with no signature.

FEDEX says they are going to try to resolve the situation.

My last career was in purchasing and warehousing, and I understand that mistakes are made. However… I have a bad feeling about this.

Finally! After more than 10 days delay in Shanghai my MacBook got Import Scanned in Cologne, Germany. 🎉
Wow I am glad it is finally on its way to you! It would be nice if Apple and any of their chosen delivery companies would at least explain what is going on with many of the delayed deliveries.

Note, in the course of ordering/shipping my delivery dates have gotten bounced around with inconsistencies between what Apple reports and UPS reports.

I am beginning to consider cancelling the order/returning the computer once it arrives. With all the reports of second generation Apple Silicon and totally redesigned Macbook, in 2021, I may be headed that way soon.

#AnchorageGang update: five of the remaining six flights for the day to Louisville have left, with the final about to take off.

With UPS apparently swamped I've resigned myself to the idea that our packages, wherever they are, won't move until they need to for the "scheduled delivery" on Monday :(

Though, whatever happened to the person who had a scheduled delivery earlier than the rest?

Considering there is a global pandemic, I don't find it that surprising. The fact that I'm not a lone and others are facing the same delays is actually quite therapeutic. Now I'm going back to frantically refreshing my UPS tracking.
To be fair Fedex and DHL are doing a lot better than UPS

UPS stated my package was set to be delivered today, 12/03, but nothing. No update, no status changes, or anything. The latest status scan still remains the same, “12/01 at 9:33 PM Departed from facility in Anchorage, AK.”

If it’s as easy as that, I don’t mind. I’ll take a Monday delivery if I had confirmation it would be there Monday.

That's too bad and kills the idea that it will magically work out by Monday

Ordered MBP 16GB/1TB on launch day. Original delivery window 12/3-12/10. Got a message earlier today bumping that out to Jan 6-13. If that holds, my daughter won’t have it in her hands before going back to college. Looks like they put us at the end of the line for no apparent reason. They need more transparency on what is going on. Haven’t seen any stock of this config (or any configs) in the Apple Stores locally in Colorado. Some base units (which we are not interested in) in stock at Microcenter and BestBuy.

Wow after sitting at Processing for a couple weeks, my loaded MBP went from China to Anchorage to Memphis to Seattle. Just landed there. I’m north of Seattle. Delivery is still scheduled for 12/8. Joked with the wife that i was going to Seattle and hijack the truck. ;)

Oh this is through FedEx.
