Ordered MBP 16GB/1TB on launch day. Original delivery window 12/3-12/10. Got a message earlier today bumping that out to Jan 6-13. If that holds, my daughter won’t have it in her hands before going back to college. Looks like they put us at the end of the line for no apparent reason. They need more transparency on what is going on. Haven’t seen any stock of this config (or any configs) in the Apple Stores locally in Colorado. Some base units (which we are not interested in) in stock at Microcenter and BestBuy.
Totally agree. This is my situation, too. Haven’t seen any progress past “processing” and my card hasn’t been charged. Tomorrow is the last day of my delivery window. When I spoke with Support, they couldn’t see any extra information beyond what I can see, but he gave me the “we’ll do our best to ship it in your delivery window” sort of line. I’m gonna end up having to change my delivery address. I understand it’s a busy time of year and a *crazy* year, but all we’re asking for is a little more transparency.

NOT AN UPDATE:

Still processing on my end, with delivery date of Dec 9th - 16th. If anything I could gather from stalking this thread, I'll probably see some kind of update by next week if the delivery date doesn't get pushed back to January (which by then, I'll cancel my order again and settle for base specs from Amazon)

I ordered my MacBook Air 16gb/1tb on November 10th.

FEDEX tracking showed a delivery date of Dec 7th, but the online tracking showed delivery today on Dec 3rd.

Went for a short walk and saw the FEDEX van go by about 2 PM, as I was a block away from my rural home. I immediately turned around and went home, but no package on the porch and no notice of attempted delivery.

Stayed inside the rest of the day, and checked the delivery status about 4:25, and it showed that my MBA was delivered at 4:10. WHAT! I was in my living room where I could see the driveway, and no vehicle appeared during the afternoon after I returned from my walk.

Went outside, and no package. Went to the closest neighbor, and no package. Called FEDEX and they showed the package was delivered with no signature.

FEDEX says they are going to try to resolve the situation.

My last career was in purchasing and warehousing, and I understand that mistakes are made. However… I have a bad feeling about this.
:(

I ordered on 11/12:
MBA 16gb/1tb Delivery date 11/30-12/7
Ordered 11/13:
MBA 16gb/1tb Delivery date 12/1-12/8

No updates since the order was placed. Still in processing. Card not yet charged.

A couple of days ago I was talking to Apple and mentioned my orders and that they would be coming from China and she said my order indicates they they wil be shipped from the US. I asked are you sure and she said yes both orders show US origin.
Has anyone else heard this or was I being fed a line of bs?

Sorry to hear about that. Was your order marked as express delivery or standard? I think standard deliveries are shipped from China while express ones are shipped from a nearby local warehouse.

Mac mini 16/512gb, ordered Nov 17 evening, to Toronto. So frigging excited.

Ethan, I’m in the same exact boat as you except with the 1TB model. Same exact delivery window. Same non-helpfulness from Apple reps. I keep my entry current on the Google Sheet. You should too.
Thanks Jake, that’s a good idea. Turns out, I’m dumb — double checked my order after posting and realized I only did the 1TB. Seems a lot of folks in this gray area did the 16GB/1TB build. They must’ve not anticipated demand? But still seems odd their delivery windows would be so inaccurate. I haven’t experienced that with Apple before

Anyone have UPS showing a shipment to arrive in your window from Enlinx Corp in Utah? I don’t know if it’s my computer or the empty box for my trade in.

It originally showed Standard, then switched to Express a couple of days ago. It still shows Express after the date slip.

@GHalstead @Gnattu @mooshhie #ShanghaiGangAnchorage: Obviously UPS is swamped rn given the situation, do you think it's gonna arrive on 12/7? UPS was able to confidently give us a scheduled delivery date so I'm really hoping it comes through. They did give @mooshhie 12/3 but I feel like that timeline was unrealistic. I wish we could just get a guaranteed deadline, even if it's delayed. I thought Scheduled Delivery was guaranteed but looks like it is no longer anymore.

At least Apple Support is gonna call me on 12/8 to see if I received it, and if I haven't they'll do whatever they do to try and push it along.

I ordered the same configuration as you for, except MBP instead of MBA 16gb/1tb. Got the same delivery window, 12/1-12/8. Hopefully we hear something back sooner rather than later.

Good evening, been following with not much to add. Ordered a MBA 8/8 16 gig, 512gig on November 20th. Initial window of 12/9 to 12/15 I think then slipped to 12/21-12/29. Just got a fedex email that looked like spam that said, “Hi, Scott Holmes. Your package from TECH-COM COMPUTER / AI is on its way.” It shows it shipped from Shanghai on 12/4 (must be local time) still no delivery estimate from fedex and card hasn’t been charged yet. Seems like it should be the delivery window easily though if it’s already in motion.

I am beginning to think that both the UPS and Fedex computers are having a nervous breakdown and thus are spitting out inaccurate delivery estimates. I just got text from UPS about a package from southern California which has not even been picked up yet but scheduled delivery is tomorrow (despite being 2 day service). At the same time, I was expecting a 2-day package today from Bay Area via Fedex but it has only just made it to Memphis. At the same time packages from Amazon via US postal service are arriving a day early. Maybe Apple should use the postal service.;)

What color? If Space then this would be the same order as three of us here, placed two days after us but with an earlier initial delivery window. Would be pretty strange for that to be the case.

Finally! After more than 10 days delay in Shanghai my MacBook got Import Scanned in Cologne, Germany. 🎉
Mine too!!! 🙏🏼🙈 can’t believe it 🎉

@Apfelchips @Eike001 you got the same?

Update: tracking just changed to „Out for delivery“ 🎉

On the tracking page, you should be able to select "Shipment Facts" (it defaults to "Travel History" when you first land on the page). In the shipment facts view, it will show you "standard transit" with a date. That is likely your delivery date. For my current shipment (in Shanghai), I also have a scheduled delivery date noted that is the same date.

On my previous MBA delivery, I first only had a standard transit date and then when it moved along and I was given a scheduled delivery date, that was one day earlier than the standard date. Fedex date has always been sooner than what Apple quotes.
