FedEx delivers on Saturday and Sunday, but if your order just shipped today, I would expect a 5-6 day wait.
Mine shipped on 11/25 with delivery on 12/2.
FedEx does move and deliver on weekends but only if package service allows. "Deliver weekday" means they almost definitely won't. Though I won't blame you for hoping. I've seen previous FedEx packages be held on Saturday to deliver Monday due to that handling type.

Anyone get Applecare+?

My system has shipped, I bought Applecare+, just got email saying coverage is good thru 11/29/23.

Problem is FedEx says I will not get until 12/3.

I get ripped off 4 days of coverage .... This happen to anyone else?
I had the same thing happen. But, the coverage date reset to the date I actually received my device after it was delivered.

Just got my AppleCare+ proof of coverage email! found that the "standard transit" section under "Shipment Facts" on the website shows December 3rd by 12pm. Delivery still hasn't been scheduled, I think maybe it's waiting to see when it gets moving out of Shanghai, but it says based on my ship date and ship service selected, that's when it would come by. I have half of that day scheduled off of work, I'm hoping it comes the 1st or 2nd instead as those are my weekend days, but either way, I'm ecstatic!

It shows it shipped the 27th but that's shanghai time, techincally it shipped and was picked up on the 26th so hopefully the 2nd isn't out of the question!!

From my experience, Fedex's "shipment facts" date is a lot more accurate than whatever Apple will report. My "shipment facts" and the delivery date quoted by Fedex was 11/20. Once shipped, Apple updated mine to 11/23 (from 11/24-11/27). I actually got it on 11/17 (a Friday vs. Mon 11/20).

Fedex had me for a Monday 11/20 delivery. I actually received it on Friday 11/17.

I ordered 16gb/1tb M1 Macbook Pro on Nov 11, which, like many others, was shipped via UPS and has been sitting in Shanghai for a week now. It was scheduled by UPS to be delivered today (Nov 27). But again, like many others, the last message in UPS app was on Nov 24 stating that it was delayed in transit with no new delivery date. Since then nothing. Apple Care started on Nov 23. I called Apple to ask if start date for Apple Care could be delayed until I received the package but was told that the only way that could happen would be to cancel Apple Care and rebuy it once it was delivered. I bought the computer with Apple Card installments so that would probably be complicated. I was charged for sales tax as soon as it was "shipped" and I am also assuming that I will be charged first installment on Nov 30 regardless of delivery. I also called UPS number for international shipments. The agent at first just repeated what the app said about the delay, reiterating that there was currently no re-scheduled delivery date. However, he then told me that if the package had not arrived by Monday (Nov 30), which it won't, I am in my rights to call Apple and have them start an investigation into the delayed delivery. So that is what I plan to do first thing Monday morning. Like others, I would be more content if UPS was transparent about the cause of the delay, appeared to be working on a solution, and suggested an estimated resolution date (e.g. if all their workers have to quarantine for 2 weeks, is delivery delayed by 2 weeks?). I will be interested to see how Apple responds next week once I ask for an investigation. Previously when I had a package go astray via UPS and asked Apple to start an investigation, I was told by Apple that they were required to resolve the issue within 3 business days. Luckily in that case, UPS found my package in a small coastal town in North Carolina (I live in NM) the same day that I contacted Apple; and, once found, it arrived the next day. This case is obviously part of a more widespread problem and thus more complicated.

Same boat here, except I got a second ship date from Apple with a delivery date of 12/22, like I was ordering it new today.

I think that's just an updated delievery date to compensate for the UPS garbage happening.
My delivery date hasn't been updated yet - still says Tuesday Dec 1. Hopefully that means I can call Apple and ask them to start an investigation when I inevitably don't receive it on Tuesday.

Apple’s order status says I’m suppose to get my order today, 11/27. So I reached out to their support via chat, and the specialist indicated that they are working continuously on my order to get it delivered as soon as possible. But to wait 72 hours to request an investigation on my order. I will be reaching out to them on Monday to open an investigation if I don’t see any updates this weekend.

Did you have to do anything to get second ship date? Or did you just get an email/notification from Apple out of the blue?

I would call them after the 72 hours is up. I don't know about Apple, but I find that usually phone support is more effective than chat support.

Their phone support is hit or miss, but definitely worth reaching out to. Seems like a coin flip on whether the outcome is helpful or not.

Shanghai Gang:

I made a Google spreadsheet to get a statistic of how many people in this forum has been affected, this could be helpful when you talk to Apple, or to let medias write about the situation.

Thanks for creating the spreadsheet. Looks like Shanghai Gang is larger than the people I was mentioning, unfortunately. That means there are quite a few people in the same situation as us, and we are just the minority of people who found our way on to the macrumors forums.

MBP 16GB 512SSD

Ordered: 13 Nov
Expected to reach: 3 Dec - 10 Dec
Card Charged: 20 Nov
"Preparing to ship" state: 25 Nov
"Shipped" state: 26 Nov
DHL: Will be delivered by 2 Dec

Singapore
Out for delivery 28 Nov!

I'm surprised considering it's a Saturday today

#ShanghaiGang: MY ORDER HAS GONE FROM "SHIPPED" (19 Nov) pack to "PROCESSING"...with delivery date delayed by OVER A MONTH (1 Dec to 4 Jan...missing Christmas - which is a major bummer because it's a gift :-( )

My order got stuck in Shanghai since 20 Nov, and UPS has been showing "Clearance in Progress" for over 3 days now. The UPS apps / delivery status states "we have your package".

So how come I've gone back to "Processing"? i.e. not even shipped from the factory???

Has this happened to anyone else who was stuck in Shanghai?

Has UPS lost the package? Is it still in Shanghai? Who knows?

This is hugely frustrating.

This is what I’m fearing will happen to me, too. Although mine’s at a FedEx location nearby as of Friday Morning, I’m sure I won’t get it until Monday. Would be a nice treat for Saturday, though!
