My original window was Nov 27-Dec 4, and after shipping, my window was Tuesday Dec 1. There's no way I'm receiving my Mac on Tuesday if it hasn't left Shanghai yet.

there is still a chance. We are living in the past compared to China. If it ships there on Monday it could arrive to your country by Monday morning or afternoon and then fly overnight to your city for delivery. If it’s showing up as a deliver date by ups or fedex for Tuesday then you’ll get it Tuesday unless there is a flight delay.

Sometimes it’s just late being scanned. Happened with multiple Apple products for me over the years (along with other stores). It could already be a lot closer to you than the tracking says it is.

Whelp. That flight to my city landed almost an hour ago and still no update, but curiously fed ex started telling me "we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later" as soon as the flight was officially landed so who knows maybe they're updating the status and the scheduled delivery or something. Hope isn't totally dead, but I get the feeling it wasn't on that flight. Too many abnormals. Updates came quick with the other departures and arrivals. I think they're driving it becuase it was scheduled with plenty of time.

Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll arrive soon regardless of how it got here so I don't have to worry. But i have one FedEx shipment from a long time ago on my list that left Nashville at 9am CT (not Memphis like this and every other time) and then popped up in Charlotte the next day at 7PM ET. If there was a repeat of that, my Mac wouldn't be in my city until tomorrow evening.

I'm really hoping for tomorrow, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. As long as I get it Tuesday I'll be really happy. Just kinda got my hopes up for tomorrow. Harumph.

I would say that's possible if the "delayed in transit" and the exception weren't still on the tracking. Anyone who doesn't have a delayed/exception status, that might actually be the case, but that delayed... idk, if it were me, I would not be hopeful at all.

We do not trust UPS' tracking system a week ago. We are looking at flights to and from Shanghai.
That 767 from Tokyo is the only one for the week. Unless ours are on that flight and not been scanned, there is no other possibility that ours have left Shanghai.

Anyone else having trouble accessing their fedex tracking? Its happening on both of my macbook air tracking numbers.

All of a sudden mine is saying, "Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later."

Yes I've had a lot of trouble as of like an hour ago... was hoping that meant an update but that confirms it. It's being driven here from Memphis (8 hour direct drive) DARN!

Yeah, same here for the last few hours. I guess Sunday night maintenance isn’t too uncommon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It looks like some packages that left Shanghai are UPS Express Saver while most packages stuck are UPS Worldwide Expedited(cheaper shipping method).

I think the worldwide expedited are supposed to be faster when they aren't lost. The express saver seems to be for Europe deliveries which tend to take longer.

My MBP still has a delivery date of 12/2 from FedEx even though it is at the FedEx center about an hour and a half from here. Has been there since 7:00 am Saturday. Hoping FedEx isn't going by strict delivery dates.

I've seen people say that it's said X delivery until it went on the delivery truck early. Hard to say though. Really did not like the update that @gank41 got with "package not due for delivery", however it had only recently gotten there and it was a friday. Monday will be the real tell for them.

Hard to trust the delivery dates, even from the carriers. I had something else that the FedEx site was showing a Monday delivery but also saying that it was loaded on the truck for delivery. I thought they were just prepping it for tomorrow since it is Sunday but it showed up today.

100% speculation but I'd expect it Monday! a) FedEx doesn't want to keep your expensive package longer then it has to and be responsible for it not getting stolen, lost or damaged during that extra time and b) FedEx probably wants to get things out of the warehouses as fast as possible now so they're ready for the Christmas rush that comes later next month.

Are orders arriving after the estimated delivery window given when ordering? I ordered a customized M1 Air a week ago, with delivery as “December 11-18”. Has Apple been on time/within those windows or are they missing them?
I had Dec. 9-16 and it’s currently scheduled for delivery for the 4th. It’s also only 10 hours from me at this instant, so there’s a good chance it’s coming like 2 weeks before the lower bound.

If you're shipping to the US...there's still a chance. Mine got to me the date after it left Shanghai (of course...with the time difference between Asia and the US, it was more than 24 actual hours).

First time order from apple directly. Do they usually stick to this schedule or do they come early?
I got a 16gb 512 SSD. Upgrading from a 2016 MacBook Pro 15 inch.

I've always had orders arrive right on time or early. They'll tighten your range to a specific date once it's shipped. For launch day orders, I've always had it arrive the exact day quoted. For my MBA, my original delivery dates were 11/24-27. Apple tightened that to 11/23 once it actually shipped. It was delivered 11/17.

This is what I've experienced. I'm reading about others in this thread that have had their quoted dates move back (later) so I guess I've been lucky. Been ordering from Apple for years.

I have the exact same order date, build, and delivery window as you. Will see if we get similar movements on our orders!
