what is the estimated day that i'll be charged? i ordered on the 21st.

Air, Space Gray, 16RAM and 1TB

Here's my timeline:

Order Date: Nov 14 at 7:30pm Eastern
Card Charged: Nov 26 at 4am Eastern
Preparing to Ship status: Nov 26 at 4:25am Eastern
Shipped: Nov 26 at 9:46pm ET (this is when i was finally able to view it, the scans were as early as 8:45pm ET)
FedEx Scheduled Delivery: Dec 3 by 12pm via International Priority Direct Distrubution

My order got to the states and to my coast by Nov 29. Expecting Delivery Nov 30 or Dec 1.


All that being said, mine has moved quickly and smoothly. I've seen people sit in preparing to ship for 3 days, I've seen people sit in China for 3 days (not mentioning the ones that were delayed). To get a real idea of timing, you'd have to read the whole thread. For the most part it seems people get their orders about a week early, or at the beginning of apple's estimated dates.

I am typing this post from the MBA I just received from Amazon. Decided to go with the 5% back I get with the Prime Visa.

This is only the second Mac I've purchased brand new. Oh my goodness what a machine. Alien technology compared to my 2011 MBP.

Congratulations! I'm green with envy! 🤑 I'll be upgrading from my 2015 MacBook Pro which is really starting to show it's age on Big Sur.

Thanks. The 2011 is a decent-spec machine with its quad core i7/16GB RAM/512GB SSD but it really has begun to show its age. This MBA is all I need for home computing nowadays; work laptop is a separate 'mobile workstation' type.

Yeah mine was too. Great specs. Even was able to game on it. It's just old now.

NYC so East Coast like you. I also got a 7/8 core model w/ 16gb RAM and 256ssd that was ordered a week earlier. It came via Fedex through Memphis-NJ-NY. It was quoted as 11/24-27 and ended up being delivered 11/17 so I've been hoping the second one will make it early too.

It made it to my city!!!! Still says Thursday but I'm feeling good about today. Ayyyeeeeee. I work today but I'm off Tuesday, Wednesday, and half of Thursday. I don't start until 2:30pm and FedEx delivers by noon, some recent deliveries being as early as 8:30 and 9:30am fingers crossed! I gotta get to bed if I'm gonna wake up that early, I just got off work!!

Today, I checked the availability of that same configuration on the Apple Store. The delivery estimate said 12/23.

My order still has the original delivery estimate.

Do not cancel and reorder. You'll just put yourself at the back of the queue. If your date hasn't updated it just means you'll get it early. It's first come first serve.

Same here old friend! My Mac Mini M1 16GB order shipped via UPS on Nov 29 and is now at the Clearing Agency in Shenzhen awaiting Final Clearance. This Mac Mini was ordered on November 13 (with a promised delivery of December 15 - 22.) Now I am being provided with the delivery date of December 8.

I think the worldwide expedited are supposed to be faster when they aren't lost. The express saver seems to be for Europe deliveries which tend to take longer.

Worldwide Expedited is one of low priority international shipping methods UPS offers.

It makes no sense but then it’s UPS.

My bank transfer has been pending since 25th Nov and I've no idea why it's just not going through. Shipping confirmation was sent to me Sat morning but nothing has happened since then. No idea if it's sat on a shelf in Shanghai or actually in transit somewhere.

Some of you reported that they should receive their delivery today according to Apple call center agents. I guess that won't happen in my case but I do hope to receive my MBA this week. Apple still says the delivery is scheduled for this Thursday (3 December) but the UPS tracking doesn't show a date (yet.)

Just got off the phone with Apple. Spoke to a very helpful assistant.

Apparently the MBP was in China on 26 Nov and arrived in Amsterdam on 29 Nov. It's been awaiting customs clearance ever since. She says they are hoping it will clear customs today. As soon as it clears customs it will be given to DHL and we'll be able to track it.

Apparently if it gets to their central UK hub before 7 pm today it'll be out for delivery tomorrow. They can't guarantee when it will clear customs, hence the long time frame estimate for delivery.

My delivery date was scheduled to be 30/11, whereas the app still has 04/12, but this date never changed since I ordered the MacBook. I called apple on Saturday and she first said I will get it on Monday, I explained the situation with the UPS tracking and she looked it up herself. According to her, my MacBook is already in Germany, which I highly doubt to be honest. Ups tracking still says „ departed from facility“ with no change since yesterday and no delivery date... And I also asked ups, and they said this delay was not their fault and the package is on its way from China to Germany.
Something is not adding up here...
