You guys act like Apple is a damn charity. Their entire purpose for existing is to make as much money as possible. Same for any business.

Hardly any two businesses have the same purpose. Here is the purpose of Apple Inc.:

$130 for my iPhone X huh? And thats exactly why I'm going to run it into the ground. I'm sure I have at least two more years of iOS releases left it in it and I plan to run it an extra year on the last supported release. So, looks like I am changing my upgrade strategy to 2025.

While I normally defend Apple, this move lowers the value of their new stuff. Before you could justify the more expensive new device because it held its value, now Apple is saying that it doesn't hold its value as much.

I would agree, if it wasn’t for all the dodgy people on eBay who say there’s some problem with your perfectly good Apple device, refuse to return it, and you end up out of pocket.

It seems like Apple doesn’t even want you to trade your old devices to Apple anymore.

No prob, their value is now increasing - see for example the raising iPhone 2G/3G and iPad1 prices. So, just keep those old phones, they're on the raising other part of the "U" now...

Other than the iMac Pro, these look like reasonable reductions in price over time. And the iMac Pro was, frankly, not worth $1,150

Yet, in a typical Apple tradition, they still sell refurbished iMac Pros for $5k+.

Nope I was responding to someone who was responding to someone else.

And regardless, people can still complain. If you are talking about obligation, nobody is obligated to listen, and nobody is obligated to not complain.

And I literally said Apple has the right to charge whatever they want. You are the one who missed that part. But I added that we have the right to complain. Would you say that we don't have the right to even say anything?

The only ones I even take a tiny bit of an issue with are the ones who complain about prices while pumping add to cart again
