You guys act like Apple is a damn charity. Their entire purpose for existing is to make as much money as possible. Same for any business.
Hardly any two businesses have the same purpose. Here is the purpose of Apple Inc.:

Apple, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of smartphones, personal computers, tablets, wearables and accessories, and other varieties of related services. Its products and services include iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Beats products, AppleCare, iCloud, digital content stores, streaming, and licensing services.

No we act like consumers who are fed up with apples continued money grabs. Their existence should be based on more than just making more money than any other company. Greed is greed how ever you want to twist it. Apple existed to make imaginative and ground breaking products for people to enjoy and utilize to enhance their lives. That was their reason before Tim and people like you arrived on the scene. Money money money……..🤑
That was their slogan, that’s true.

Apple has been about making as much money as possible for a long time. Yes, before Cook too.

$130 for my iPhone X huh? And thats exactly why I'm going to run it into the ground. I'm sure I have at least two more years of iOS releases left it in it and I plan to run it an extra year on the last supported release. So, looks like I am changing my upgrade strategy to 2025.

iPhone 17 Pro Max, here I come. 9 years on iPhone X should be a good run.

While I normally defend Apple, this move lowers the value of their new stuff. Before you could justify the more expensive new device because it held its value, now Apple is saying that it doesn't hold its value as much.

Got $140 from mac me an offer for my AW S5 a couple weeks ago and didn’t have to buy a thing from Apple. Got a new S7 from Amazon for $300.

Phew. . . . was able to find an iPhone 14 PM 256GB in store last week. Turned in, in-store, my iPhone 7+ and was able to get $15 more dollars for it vs today.

This program is for those seeking convenience and don’t know, or don’t care, that they can get more money for devices elsewhere.

Well, anyone looking to sell their maxed out iMac Pro for $600 can hit me up. I’ll give you $650. I’m sure even shipping to Europe will be well worth it!

Nope I was responding to someone who was responding to someone else.

And regardless, people can still complain. If you are talking about obligation, nobody is obligated to listen, and nobody is obligated to not complain.

And I literally said Apple has the right to charge whatever they want. You are the one who missed that part. But I added that we have the right to complain. Would you say that we don't have the right to even say anything?
The only ones I even take a tiny bit of an issue with are the ones who complain about prices while pumping add to cart again
