why be excited about these is correct...they are consuming your time to answer questions with no compensation...

...says the man who's complaining about the lack of excitement without compensation

And it isn't like you, or I, or really anyone here is actually being helpful about anything either. At least the Apple survey helps Apple (provides better products) and yourself (gets better products).

But why do that when they would have to pay royalty to Sony for every Mac sold? And why do that when the cost of a Superdrive is so much less then a cost of a Blu-Ray drive? You wanna know why... Margins... Greed... If Apple had to shell out $50 more dollars for every Mac sold for a Blu-Ray drive, they would have to eat the cost... They couldn't pass it on to the consumer because their prices are already so high to begin with, although I'm sure if they did it in a BTO option many people would opt to pay the extra $$ to get Bluray.

Im sorry but the price Apple probably charge for the Superdrive, is most likely more than the cost of making a Blu-Ray Drive.

I cant believe we arent getting an update on this from Arn. Did the Apple press just lure thousands into getting their Apple ID's phished?

What kind of update? It's run by a marketing firm based in SF.

Wow, that's weird. One thing I thought that made Apple unique was that they did not rely on focus groups. Or customer surveys like this.

When i originally replied in post #33 I did not look closely at the URL in post #1. The feedback site I was using was https://www.itunespulse.com/ which i still up and running. It is however run by Socratic Technologies, Inc. I've been signed up for well over a year and have never been spammed.
