More importantly, have they fixed the battery issues in iOS 7.1.1 in iPhone 4 and 4S?

I'll be mightily disappointed if Apple does not continue producing new 4" screened iPhones.

I don't give a damn how small the bezels get, either.

What kind of battery life should we expect? If Apple is going for slimmer, lighter, it's unlikely they'll utilize the extra size and put a bigger battery in there.

5.5" is just to big. That's what my iPad is for lol. If apple moves to a 4.7" I just hope it has the same specs as the 5.5" version. I can live with a 4.7" if that's what apple wants to do but please no bigger.

January 28th 2015 headline: "Sales of 5.5" iPhone 6 Much Weaker than Expected"

because bigger screen means higher battery life ?

I don't want to know its waist size..

I don't see it. They don't know. As far as size. I can't see wanted the 5.5". I have a retina Mini. And I know 5.5" to 7.9" is a big jump. But I have looked at 5.0" HTC One and Galaxy S4s and I think there is a Moto around 5.0" but I think that 5.5" is just too big. I do like the 5.0" size and it would be a shame if the 4.7" ends up looking and feeling a bit small compared to the HTC One, however, I wouldn't jump to 5.5". That's too big for pockets, one hand, etc.

the battery should propose at least a capacity of 3000maH as the LG G3

No way. Apart from the awful battery life of the SGS3 i had, the other thing i hated was the time it took to recharge it 2000 (ish) maH battery. I love the fact with the iPhone it can be plugged in for 1/2 hr and you'll get a nice big charge, say 60-100%. Its smaller battery takes less time to charge, and at the end of the day i can use all the things i want without it running out of juice by 4pm, unlike the GS3.

I live in Korea , and almost everyone around me is using gigantic phabets. My 5S almost look like a little toy :D I've always thought that 4.7 is the perfect size but who knows. Maybe Apple can convince me to get on this phablet train.

I think there's always going to be a market for different sized smartphones and Apple finally realized what they want to offer and figuring out how to deal with the various obstacles in product design.

I just hope they start offering more RAM along with all of the other typically improvements.

I personally just want the 4.7inch model.

I'm just glad that I will be able to compare sizes on day 1 if this is true...However I'll still be buying the 4.7 instead...No way I could fit a 5.5 in the pockets of my skinny jeans ha!

So, the 5C will riding into the sunset being the -$200 phone and the 5S the -$100 phone. Given that the 5S seems like really good enough in most aspects, Apple might de facto end up with a choice of 4", 4.7", and 5.5" phones, all neatly spaced by $100 difference.

I too hope both versions have the same specs. I would disappointed if the 5.5 had higher specs because I'm hoping to stick with the 4.7. Although the iPad Air and Mini 2 w/ Ret had slightly different specs :/

I would say that 4.7 is perfect size for hand, can maneuver the phone with one hand while walking and driving :)

But 5.5 forget it you need 2 hands, if you need something as that big then get a ipad mini ...

thats my 2 cents

I wonder how long the battery will hold on the new 4.7 ?? any ideas? or how big the battery will be 3100?

It's not 2012. My S5 can go from zero to a full charge in a little over an hour and it has twice the battery capacity of the iPhone.

And notice how all current android flagships from the majors have better life than the 5S.

4.7" for me please. Always liked the bigger phone and at the moment I use my Nokia 1520 a lot. BUT it's irritating for tracking my runs and so. To heavy and spacy for my pocket when I train.

So if 4.7" is the smallest - It's what I'll get. Nearly 6" is to big for me but I would love to see a 4.7 and a 5.5 :)

I also have the S5 - And it most certainly can not charge to 100% in an hour and battery life is as crappy as on my iPhone 5S - But it's okay. It's a mean machine.

My 1520 stays charged for days though...

"Resizable iPhones" ...so, i can basically roll it over like a dough and make it whatever inch I want.. the app will be "auto-sized" while the screen "intelligently" resized.. :p

That's the real power of swift :p

most people (internationally) will want the 5.5 inch. Maybe in the US people will go for the 4.7 version. We'll see shortages if Apple are going to produce more 4.7 inch iphones.

I'm still a little skeptical about this staggered release thing...
I always figured it really means 2014>2015 6>6s
But also wouldn't be surprised if they introduced 2 models each year now with Air vs Mini branding. Would sorta be a stroke of reality-distortion genius to call the 4.7inch Mini after losing marketshare for being too small for years.

I'd prefer a non-decontented (top spec) 4" version, but I'll hold my nose and go with the 4.7" if that's what it takes.. I can't imagine getting the huge 5.5", top spec or not.

Tim Cook isn't a tech guy. Tim Cook is a P & L guy.
