Bogus

Really doubt there was ever issues to begin with.

Exactly.

A linkbait story - from a Chinese website - casting doubt on a
Taiwanese company. Sounds pretty suspect to me.
If you can't see hidden agendas, you need to look a little closer.

I can see Apple going with a 4.7" device.
Not so much 5.5"

Read up on Tim Cook and Apple's legendary SKU control.
That makes it highly unlikely they'd build two 'bigger' iPhones in one year.

No way. Apart from the awful battery life of the SGS3 i had, the other thing i hated was the time it took to recharge it 2000 (ish) maH battery. I love the fact with the iPhone it can be plugged in for 1/2 hr and you'll get a nice big charge, say 60-100%. Its smaller battery takes less time to charge, and at the end of the day i can use all the things i want without it running out of juice by 4pm, unlike the GS3.
My message was about the new LG G3 not the SG3...
They integrated a 3000mah battery to match with the QHD screen, however the last reviews revealed an impressive battery life (not as the iphone5S... :D)

Lets be realistic. Some people like smaller phones, some people like larger phones. 33% of smart phone users are using phones larger than 5 inches. Just because you don't like a larger phone does not mean someone else does not love it. I know for certain the iPhone 5s is way too small for me. I use an iPad air and a 27in iMac. I will have to weight my choices heavily between the 4.7 and 5.5. More than likely I will have to play with both in the store to determine the benefits vs the negatives. People complaining about the 5.5 in screen size should stop. The fact that Apple is giving people choices is a great thing.

Gonna be such a tough choice if they don't come out at the same time. I'd want to feel them both before deciding.

I much prefer the feel of the 5C to the 5/5S. I don't use a case and I'm so tired of the sharp edges, it's so "uncomfortable". The 5C reminds me of the 3GS feel and I miss that... but the current iPod touch is the king of them all IMO.

So if Apple can deliver a comfortable curved feel, yet the phone still lays flat, I'm going to be much more interested in the 4.7 model than 5.5.

But read my first sentence lol

1 vote for the 4.7, the 5.5 is just stupid. I agree with how comfortable the device needs to be to hold also.

most people (internationally) will want the 5.5 inch. Maybe in the US people will go for the 4.7 version. We'll see shortages if Apple are going to produce more 4.7 inch iphones.

Yeah, your 100% correct on this one! I live in Asia and the BIG phones are all the rage, I think Apple have to be careful on price, The S5 has major discounts over here driving those sales.

Funny how many people seem to think this is MacNewsFacts.com instead of MacRumors.com.

Funny, was thinking the same. On a sidenote - What happened to the daily "Yet another mockup" frontpage news ? They are probably right next to "doubling down", "Snappy" and "SJ wouldn't have allowed it" ..

all the leakes on the internet about new iphone, yet macrumors still puts out some totally random iphone renders:cool:

Back on the iPhone 6 gravy train after this. Of course assuming all this talk is true. I couldn't see myself getting another iPhone if they refuse to address the phablet market.

My big hands need a big size phone gaddamit. Make it happen Apple.

Shouldn't the 5.5" inch technically have a larger battery? I would expect the smaller 4.7" to face battery trouble compared to a larger device. Or is this a problem in the chemistry related to the higher volume of the larger battery?

Ditto, larger android phones have been getting long battery and huge mAh values for ages. 3000+ easily in super thin enclosures. I find it odd to hear that the battery should cause a delay, I think the rumour sounds unfounded.

The irony of all this is that the current gen iphone has a very small battery but long battery. Even a slight increase should propell it into another territory. Especially with developments in CPU management like metal. Here to hoping for 24hr battery life figures next time!

I would say that 4.7 is perfect size for hand, can maneuver the phone with one hand while walking and driving :)

But 5.5 forget it you need 2 hands, if you need something as that big then get a ipad mini ...

thats my 2 cents

I wonder how long the battery will hold on the new 4.7 ?? any ideas? or how big the battery will be 3100?

But everyone's hands are different. There is no perfect size. I actually look at an 5.5" iPhone as being the best of both worlds for people who don't need an iPhone for phone use enough nor consume enough content to justify an iPad. They will be able to have one device instead of making do with one or the other or splashing out for two. The battery won't be as big as Android flagships, iPhone ones never are because iOS is more battery efficient.

it's so much fun to solve fake problems on fake products.

4.7 fits right in my wheelhouse. 5.5 fits in someone else's. If Apple offers both that would be a win/win for all except the 4" crowd. Keep manufacturing the 4" and everyone is happy.

Bolded: one hand while... driving. Yeah, don't do that. If not for you, for the others on the road with you. Don't be "that guy".

Bolded2: Lemme get this right. If a 5.5" phone is too big, your suggestion is to get an 8" tablet. Makes sense:rolleyes:

Well, I guess now that the WWDC keynote is over, it's time for more sketchy rumors from unreliable sources about the iPhone.

This gets the front page, while a story about Apple changing its flagship programming language for the first time in a couple decades gets stuck in the iOS Blog.

This. I was blown away by yesterday's shift towards the future. It was amazing.

The easiest solution is the most obvious. Make the damn phone the same thickness as the current 5s. Problem solved. I don't think many people think the 5s is too thick. This obsession with thinness has, imo, reached a point of diminishing returns. Most don't care if it's the "thinnest iPhone ever". I don't know too many who wouldn't trade a mm of thinness for better battery. Function over form, especially when the form is perfectly serviceable as is.

Wow! Lots of 5.5" haters on here. Here's a solution: don't buy it!

And please stop complaining how we might as well get it in iPad mini size while we're there. At one point I had a 5.7" Note 3 and an iPad Mini Retina and they are not even close in terms of size.

Keep calm and carry on
