Same issues with Sports app. Spoke to Apple "support" and we noticed that if I went to Settings/Notifications there was no listing for the Sports app AND if I went to the Sports app settings, there was no options for Notifications either. Deleted and reinstalled the app three times, restarted the iPhone 17 Pro each time and nada.

The Apple Sports app doesn't support push notifications. That's why there are no notification settings. It does support Live Activities. You can get to the activity settings in the app by tapping Home in the top right, then tapping on the gear to see your favorited teams.

Well it's not just the Apple Sports app. I also use the Sports Alerts app and live activities haptic notifications also does not work when wearing the watch.

I did the nuclear option of deleting all my teams/ leagues and then setting them all back up. Everything works on my iPad Pro now but not the phone/watch. What a mess. But at least one of my devices works!

I did find that having "more frequent updates" selected in the live activities settings for the sports app is the only way for any of this to work properly which is annoying.

Until Apple fixes the Watch issue with haptic notifications, I turned off live activities in the Watch Smart Stack. At least it’s working on the iPhone.

This was bugging me for a few weeks. Got around to trying the beta 26.1 beta 2. They fixed it. Now I get the notifications and updates on the phones like in the past. I had to install the Watch beta too to get it working there.

Also they fixed the FaceID delay from that last update (iPhone 13).

So does the haptic feedback work on live activities, and do the live activities start automatically?

I noticed Saturday that the live activity started automatically for my football team and my watch made a sound and vibrated when the score changed.
Yes this has happened but only intermittently. When I disable Smart Stack on my watch my 16 PM works well. It’s only when the watch mirrors it on live activities does it fail to notify.
