I'm so glad I'm getting mine at the store..... UPS does not deliver on Saturday in my area; and, if they did, it would end up left on my doorstep in plain sight for all manner of thief and passer-by to steal!
part of me is jealous of all of you and the other part of me is blissfully happy i didn't order one without a front facing camera
I'm in the same boat.. I want to throw my money at Apple and buy one, but I just can't do it, seeing as there's no camera, nevermind front facing and the fact I can't hook my external media harddrive up to it to...
If adapters ever come out that enable this I'll be purchasing one immediately..
Just a comment. I could have sworn when I preordered, it said it would be delivered via FedEX, and even gave the FedEx customer service number to call to see if Saturday delivery was available in your area. Now people are getting shipment notices for UPS? Whatever. I need sleep. I hope I get my notification soon so I can go to bed

But it will be my favorite color on SaturdayIf they are being delivered by UPS where does the Fedex Saturday shipping come in? Are they swapping once they get to a local sort facility?

According to the UPS time estimate that would put it on my door April 1. I know Apple has always underpromised and overdelivered, for me anyway. So maybe just maybe it will get here early. I printed out the preauth forms and thank goodness it's coming via UPS, I've never had a problem with them.

Mine seems to be on it's way to the local UPS Shipping center, at least according to the shipped to on the tracking info. Oh well, I guess if for some odd reason it doesn't show up on Saturday, I'll just head down to the apple store to pick up the one I reserved.
Really envy you guys. I'm self employed and with downturn in sales, I can't afford one. Two years ago I'd have been first in the queue. Enjoy them everyone and I'll read up here with great interest and envy as they roll out
Sorry you are having bad luck lately, being self employed is no fun at the moment.
If it's any consolation my iPad is being bought with 4 years worth of Mother-in-Law Christmas/Birthday money that I have hoarded, so it isnt coming out of household money, its been saved year after year waiting for something I actually want but I cant wait to get as a gift because Christmas is too far away.
I knew the day would come, its been burning a hole in my pocket for too long.....I will miss it when it has gone though

No FedEx....people assumed FedEx would be the carrier of choice since they deliver on Saturdays almost everywhere. However, that is not the case.
Given UPS's track record, most can expect their delivery NEXT MONDAY.
This is an improvement for me. I won't be around on Saturday, and FedEx residential doesn't deliver on Mondays, so it would have been Tuesday with FedEx.

last year when the iphone 3GS shipped we all bombarded the macrumors forums with comments (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/720502/). Could we set another record of more than 6500 comments? I think so.....
P.S: I haven't received a shipping notice yet and I ordered it the night pre-orders became available. But i'm not worried because it says my order is prepared for shipment. Huzzah!

I could have sworn that FedEx was mentioned on Apple site somewhere withing the explanation for delivery on Saturday. I seem to remember them mentioning Saturday Delivery if Fedex delivered on Saturday in your area, if not Monday.
Actually, my pre-authorizations fell off this morning, so i'm in the same boat. It's shipped AND i have the money available to spend in my account!!!

It looks like I may not get mine on Saturday. I just checked the tracking and it says the selected service is not availible to the destination address.

Mine was shipped! But the UPS tracking doesn't say when the delivery date is. I guess it's the 3rd.
A friday delivery would not be out of the question. It would likely prevent people for grabbing one from the Apple Store rather than wait until delivery, which might be as late as 6pm on Saturday.
